The only game in ww2 era that was enjoyable in the modern multiplayer era was battlefield v. As controversial as it was before launch there’s no doubt the atmosphere within the game was very surreal and most of the weapons are very enjoyable to use

Overall, World at War is the BEST Call of Duty game to exist. We loved campaign, we loved multiplayer, and we loved zombies. It was ahead of its time and deserves the title of masterpiece. Sad that nothing compares to this.

I remember visiting my dad for Thanksgiving in 2008, the last time I would see my grandma before she would pass a month later. That night, we went straight to Hastings and bought a copy of World at War, even renting a copy of Force Unleashed as well. Over the next two nights, I played and finished the campaign, only to be meet with Nazi Zombies that blew my 14 year old mind away. If I could, I would go back and relive those days once again.

Working theory, the Black Ops games are strangely interconnected with each other in coding (or maybe it's just my xbox). I started playing Bo2 Tranzit and was given some wonky 2-of-the-same-kind-of-powerup within 10 seconds RNG, game was a little choppy but oh well. Signed onto Bo3 the next morning and my first match (either Giant or DE) I was rewarded the same kind of RNG for a bit and a little bit of extra luck on taking some hits before it began to normalize with itself. Bruh they accidentally summoned Shadow Man through the games and now Monty's controlling everything. I can't wait to get a Ray Gun, it makes crack that much better.

Honestly WaW was like a 9 out of 10, WW2 was like a 4, and Vanguard is like a 2. WW2 was not good, but I had fun with friends, so ended up playing a LOT of War. That mode was the best thing in that game imo

World at War was incredible man. They should absolutely remaster that game but just don’t change anything. Just have the graphics updated, and realistic gun sounds and literally leave everything else the same then we have the best CoD game in years. Leave the animations the same, leave the gameplay and feel the same, don’t add any stupid movement systems, World at War was nearly perfect in every way.

nah ngl if cod just do futuristic right it can work because in my opinion the ww2 games always feel sluggish due to the slow heavy weapons yet a game like bo3 where you feel quick and weightless makes the game twice as fun in my opinion and that's why bo3 is my favourite cod(and zombies) yet they haven't really made anything similar on the same level like aw and iw all have flaws that make it annoying and so does bo3 but its still an amazing game gameplay wise

It's almost like it was in the pass where guns where things that weren't as used and as developed as the you know FUTERE like they are trying to replicate the feeling of soldiers during WW2 or how its like fighting as one. Plus it's a World War 2 game you know one of the World's greatest conflict in which a lot a shit happed so I really don't think gameplay and FUN are at the forefront of their minds when they are trying to tell a story about said conflict. And I think the Actman is talking about WOW as a WW2 game and Campaign and You seem more like a Gameplay and Mechanics type of person. Even Though COD BO3 had one of the worst stories in The History of Treyarch above Vanguard.

Id be happywith a future setting for COD but i think the devs will always try add advanced movement to it (which may be fine depending on your opinions, personally i had more fun on AW and IW mp than on BO3 which i played purely for zombies). Something more grounded like BO4 , which i really enjoyed, is cool but seeing a COD set after some sort of "dystopian dark age" akin to bo3 would excite me. Thats literally a greenlight to have a mix of futuristic, modern and slightly antiquated equipment and weapons, maps and cosmetics if people care
