World-Class EV Charging

Harris Ranch Supercharger has Everything - Pretty much state-of-the-art when it comes to EV charging. Solar canopies, two Megapacks, nearby amenities. They even put in a paved walking path recently. Trash cans, windshield washing, security drive-bys, and a shuttle to the restaurant.

Not that long ago, Tesla revealed their superchargers for the first time. IIRC there were 6 stations, all in CA, and this one (Harris Ranch) had a single 90 kW V1 stall next to the Shell station. At that time, 90 kW seemed like science fiction future brought into the present by Tesla's time machine. 😀

You didn't mention it's been a famous eatery, in the San Joaquin Valley, for several decades & has an airport which you can also fly into.

The 40-charger addition is waiting for utility connection to the 10 new cabinets. Common issue I am seeing lately.

These solar canopies are great but Tesla STILL doesn't make best use of their Supercharger sites' potential solar generation capacity as they do not cover the circulation space between parking spaces. This means that approximately ⅓ of the potential energy generation capacity is wasted. I've been nagging on at Elon and Tesla about this for YEARS! I've recently noticed that Tesla is in the process of installing solar canopies at Giga Berlin just as I've been nagging about. This may be coincidental, or not, but it is heartening to see Tesla taking up this mantle, albeit at a limited scale, & perhaps an experimental level for assessment purposes in terms of additional energy generation. Tesla's properties tend to be on a VAST scale.
