Hey Mate! I enjoyed the video, although you have a lot of clip that you cut short before we get to see the time. When a drag racer look at a drag racing video, he expect to be able to see the time each car has run ;) When the right time panel is not in the field of view or if there's people in front of it so we can only see the time of the left lane, it's a good idea to add the time and mp when you edit your video so at least we get to know both driver's time. Also if one of these driver want some footage of his car for souvenir, I'm sure he'll prefer a video where we see his time. Keep up the good work!

I know... believe me, while I was editing the videos, this crossed my mind the entire time. The reason why the clips were cut short was simply, I didn't pick the best spot to stand. A lot of video was the back of people blocking the times. This was my first year filming as part of the event's media crew and I learned a lot! I will definitely take this into consideration for upcoming videos like this. Much of the upcoming videos from this year are already edited but next year is the 25th anniversary of the event so I definitely appreciate the feedback to prepare!

@@DownShiftRecords Hey no problem at all. Video editing is time consuming and when you spend a whole event behind a camera when you get home and look back at your footage you have a feeling you did not witness most of what you are seeing lol. I'll sub and follow you from now on :)

dumb question but how do they determine classes for setting up the races..? do they go by engines? chassis? like the ls swapped rx7, what class is he running in?

Not a dumb question at all. Here is the official rule book for each class. WCF Rulebook: importvsdomestic.com/rulebook/ It's very in-depth but the short answer is there are a lot of factors involved when determining class. Many of these guys prep months if not years in advance to meet requirements.

yeah Pro Mods take the fastest times. Yet are not real drag cars in the sense of this type of racing. They are pretty much straight drag cars not street cars changed to be drag cars. I just don't care for the Pro Mods. If I did I would watch NHRA funny cars cause that is getting close to what they really are.

Whoever recorded this was a jackass, plain and simple. Awesome racing and cars, but no times in most races ever shown and each video clip ends too soon. Or just the left lane. WTF? Otherwise, it would have been a real cool video.

Sadly I have had to make this response too many times and the lesson has been learned. I understand the frustration from not being able to capture all the times but I was limited to where I was standing by the organizers. There are three tiers of media and as this was my first year filming for them, I was only allowed in the entry tier (which, as you can see, limits the view to the sidelines). The cut footage was because all I got afterwards was the back of people’s heads and other obstacles so I did the best I could. (Also, I’m short 😂 so that didn’t help either). While I’ve been granted upper tier access for this upcoming year (prior to its cancellation), I have moved to Texas and therefore wouldn't have been able to film for 2020 anyways. I will be making it up to all of you at the 2021 WCF, I promise. If you are genuinely interested in the race results and times I have posted the race results in the description from the WCF website.

Not true. A lot of them are vets who dominate locally but the insane grip from the glue & track prep, plus the typical negative DA makes these big races a tuner's race, so anyone used to humidity or elevation, or lacks tuning knowledge in general gets embarrassed. At least go to the event before you post some garbage from your keyboard. Been racing since 98, how about you, son?
