Hope I get the chance to ride my Huckleberry Spire on the North Shore someday, looks amazing! What coil shock are you running on the Spire? My Fuel EX descended much better when I put a Super Deluxe coil on it, and I know the Spire works far better with a coil with it's progressive design. I actually haven't ridden my Spire in a few weeks, the Fox Factory Float X2 started leaking oil from the compression adjuster. If you still have the original X2 Fox is warrantying all 2021-2023 X2's, they're shipping me an improved 2024 Factory Float X2 for free!

I’ve got the Rockshox Super Deluxe Ultimate Coil with the HBO bottom out protection. I love it! I’m definitely addicted to the plush coil feel but still run an air shock on my ebike. Lmk if you’re ever out this way. I’ll give you the grand tour! 🤘

Also thanks for the reminder about the float x2. Need to look into that warranty. It’s basically a backup shock collecting dust atm but it would be nice to upgrade it for when I need to service the coil. How do you like the Spire with the air? Heard the tune is pretty sweet on those.

@@LoamerMTB Huge fan of the Float X2 air shock when it’s not leaking, sounds like Fox fixed the issue in ‘24 models. Has all the positive characteristics of air while *almost* being as supple off the top as a coil. Spent quite a bit of time tuning it and getting it dialed in, added a volume spacer so I can set it up plush and still barely reach bottom out at my local bike park. I would always run a coil on a downhill bike though, you definitely have the terrain there to take advantage of the coil!
