in 2007-absolutely strong, invincible. in 2003-same but had indian bowlers applied themselves a bit and that plumb lbw of ponting in 40s i think to dinesh mongia, had it been given and some application of batsman, India had like 20% chance to beat them. But zaheer khan in 1st over with his over the top aggression and absolutely no focus on his bowling(1st over 10 runs with few extras) etc, they were blown away. in 1999- stupid run out in the end in semis by SA in semi finals, that overexcitement of throwing away the ball after catching leading to a drop catch by gibbs of steve waugh in league or super six match, cant remember, costed them and pushed Aus forward to final. SA were strong fav and no one expected Aus to reach final although they were a good team(good but not great at that time). And in final, even with that strong bowling line up in english conditions, Pak were blown away bcoz of poor batting. So in 1999, luck favoured a lot for aussies, NOT INVINCIBLE at all.
