Thank you Brazil for inspiring and influencing South American soccer, I'm Colombian but always love brazilian soccer since I was a little boy growing up in Medellin, love my team "Los Cafeteros" and I know we'll go far this time around. I love that not only Colombia is doing well but most of our Latino American teams, the bigest surprice it's been Costa Rica and to be honest I'm more afraid of facing Costa Rica than Germany if we have to, arriba Colombia is our time to shine.

Falcao is an important part of the team his absence will be important, but he is only one man, not the whole team. Colombia has in my personal opinion the best team since the 90's with the Valderrama, Asprilla etc. The group looks tough but manageable, if the team can come to terms with the absence of their iconic player and play their best. They can go at least to the round of 16 or beyond, best of luck.

My god, Colombia hasn't qualified for 16 years? And yet, countries like Korea and Japan qualify every World Cup? Even as Asian, I believe that berths in Asia should be taken away and be given to South America and Europe so that more of these talented countries clinch off. It's REALLY not fair for countries like this to not qualify for 16 years while countries like Korea and Japan qualify every World Cup. Affirmative Action in Football that is. Only reason why FIFA allows 4 countries from Asia is because of the money/finance. If it weren't for money, Asia should honestly only have 1 and the only reason why I said one is to keep the meaning of the word "world". It should be cut down to 0.5 and best of Asia go through inter-continental playoffs. Asia won't make it.

Alejandro Ocampo I think of Colombia like Chicago. Chicago is a beautiful city with many things to see and do. But there are also parts of Chicago where if you visited that if you were an outsider you could measure your life expectancy in terms of hours. My personal experience in Colombia has been wonderful. There is much more harmony, less tension and stress than in the US. Colombia is routinely ranked in the top ten internationally in happiness. The year I came here they were ranked number one. But I also know that there are parts of Colombia where I would be kidnapped very quickly. And in some of the dangerous sections of cities I could be killed. Cheers, Paul
