I made this comment after 23 minutes Jamie and this is such great reflection/vlog you have made here. Anyone and I guess everyone would feel down having fished so hard for two days and not getting the result you wanted BUT a) you can't catch what is not in front of you, b) you don't fish this type of venue and for the same type of fish anywhere in the UK and lastly c) to sort the correct tactic in such a short period of time is very, very difficult. I hope your reflection at the end is keep going, fish more of these matches and become an even better angler, because one match does not make you a bad angler. Thanks for video.

hi Jamie, you know I'm from the Netherlands. And be proud of the win. But I know you're a great fisherman. And it's a team sport. And then sometimes you have to be lucky. And this time it was our turn. And nice advertisement for the feederfisching. Head up, and behind the clouds the sun shines again.

Really excellent film . You have should not feel you did anything. You have to make a call on the day , if it don't work you all question your self. Well done Jamie and well done the Dragons. Love the red outfits.

Loved the video Jamie and pure honesty of the uploads after the matches that must hurt when you put so much effort in. Keep going mate

I totally understand how you feel mate. It brought back memories for me. After years of effort I eventually represented England in the world shore championships in the south of France. Such highs and lows and I realised it wasn’t the way I wanted my fishing to be, it was too emotionally draining. All I will say is don’t make any knee jerk decisions. Take plenty of time to decide which is the right path for you. This sport can easily become all consuming and if you put too much pressure on yourself it can be overwhelming to the point that you stop enjoying it, which is a real shame. Very best of luck in whichever path you choose to take.

To even get to this level is amazing, you gave it your best shot and that's all you can do. Also I noticed someone gave this video a dislike, everyone is entitled to their opinion but I can't understand someone going out of their way to click the thumbs down button .

Great to see you enjoying yourself even if the fishing was hard. Glad the cup went home with the dutchies. Hope to see you more often on the international circuit

That was an excellent insight into these competitions, gutted for you on day 1 but you did what you could and that's all you can do really in the heat of a match. Just getting there is an achievement so be proud and hold your head high.

You looked absolutely devastated after day 1 mate, really felt for you. Personally I think you all should be super proud of yourselves, I know I am of you all. Thanks for sharing 👍👍👍

I don't know whether to commiserate, or congratulate you. I mean, you and the lads got there, against everything, qualifying, the pandemic, travel restrictions that can change in an instant. There's the congrats, then the down side, a non podium finish, even after all the prep, planning, and all the other hard work involved. So, does this trip mean that a trip to Ireland, and Iberian feeders master is on the cards for 2022? Good video, despite you guts not winning. An interesting glance into that world. Thanks Jamie. Our support is never let down, we believe in the best, and even the best can get beaten. Bye for now mate.

Bad luck Jamie at least you caught fish especially as they are different fish to what your used to in the UK but I guess that's what World Championships are all about.🙂. Don't be too disappointed because you gave it your best and that shows what a great angler you are, Great video once again 👍

Another honest video, and great footage (given the intensity of the event). Any chance that you film a short video on your "boshing" rods - asking for a friend? Thanks.

What i got out of watching the video is that a team should fish to a plan but also need to evaluate once at their peg they modify according to whats happening around them. The case in point was the dutch angler next to you. Its what we do in all our matches. Start as planned but observe around and change if need be. On a positive note well fished in the circumstances.

I followed the match online thanks to Italian web channel, the feeling was a very complicated fishing, just few small carassio and some grams had the difference. The carps were concentrated around the bridge and just the anglers on that position had the possibility to catch them. So not the best situation for the world feeder final

Well done Jamie, you did the best you could in the circumstances. Don't feel too bad about it. You're a quality angler but, you can't win them all!

Thanks for sharing your insights into the Championship! A question: „Carassio” = Prussian carp = Carassius gibelio or another species??

Sorry mate but I read Steve's response after the world feeder champs. He said, as you will be aware, we don't fish the continent or too international rules. I think its nonsense personally, he was one of the first "I fish for myself anglers". 90% of the England football team don't play football like they do abroad, they adapt and get hammered by the media when they don't. Barnsley came second, same country. I'm sorry for you though, you are very honest and gracious. Keep your chin up mate, you did your best

Just stumbled on this channel. Wonderful achievement to actually qualify to experience an international competition so well done. Even though the fishing was hard it must of been amazing to actually take part despite the fishing being tough. Huge learning curve!! How long does it take to complete the weigh in for a huge event like this?

So sad to see you so devastated even knowing how strong and clever angler you are... but aftr all this is Plovdiv's rowing canal, it disappoints even the local anglers in 4 of 5 visits, so don't be hard on yourself and don't quit international fishing scene. Btw I'm absolutely disappointed too because as you can tell I didn't managed to get into the competition days and meet you in real life and this is something I'll never forgive to myself, but... this is life 😀

@andyphelpsfishingvlog96813 жыл бұрын
Great coverage mate, I wouldn't be too disheartend by the result as it was a team event and the team plan was slightly wrong, which does not reflect on you as an angler. You did your bit for the team and stuck to the plan. Maybe next time you'll fair better mate. Do you actually fish when away with the England feeder team, or just run the bank etc?
@allanwithers85093 жыл бұрын
Feel your disappointment Jamie, in what was a very in-depth video. You all did what you thought was right on the day, so can hold your heads up high.

@michaelallcock62153 жыл бұрын
Seems like a very biased lake on which to hold a great tournament like that?? I don't understand the organisers logic at all......the best anglers and teams could be out of it simply because of the peg bias (which you always get but not to such an extent).
@geoffreystockton76393 жыл бұрын
Long way to go to fish a crap venue , may have done better just fishing your peg as you find it seem to have over complicated things
@AnthonyWilliams-ew3wp3 жыл бұрын
Strange choice of venue when the area around the bridge is where the fish are fed. Hardly fair to all the anglers.
@chrisknight78483 жыл бұрын
Hi mate So sorry you was so disappointed with what happened. The video was brilliant , and to do this after having a bad day just shows what a good man you are. On a personal point I started watching your video in the first lock down and it has changed my way of fishing especially my feeder fishing , thank you and keep up the good work
