Morning Mr Oliver. Just a random bloke commenting. For some reason I am stuck watching your, interesting, honest, engaging channel for the last week. I know. I usually spend most of my day shouting at KZbin and the BBC. Weird. Regards D Fa

So much more interesting than modern designs. Saudi coin is nice.

Somewhat fascinating as well that they all had the same diameter. Like the sovereign vs 10 gulden, same diameter except the sovereign is nearly 1/4 Oz at .2354 while the gulden is closer to 1/5 oz

Alot of coins gravitated to a dominant standard in one form or another.

Is there a way to store gold and silver coins to maintain their shininess?

There's some nice designs out there in the LMU era. I do like that Indian head too though. Two rabbit holes I've not ventured down as yet 😂

Cool video! Be aware, the U.S 5 dollar piece is either counterfeit, or is real and has been altered. It appears to have a small 'D' mint mark on the left side of the arrow bundle on the reverse, which automatically makes it fake or altered. There were no 5 dollar gold pieces with the 'D' mint mark in the year 1915.

Thank you - I doubt its counterfeit as it was bought from a large UK dealer who use an xrf machine which narrows it down. I will do some more digging and stay vigilant.
