Countries that are close by use smaller planes, at the same time there are countries that have world leaders who are constantly under threat and hence need bigger planes to carry a lot of defence systems that small planes can't carry.

Got to say that retro livery of the Garuda 777 reminds me of the DC10s my uncle captained back in the late 70's, early 80's. But given that the Indonesian government also has a 737-800 BJ at their disposal, sending its delegates on a 773 is a bit ironic to the cause!
