Fidel Castro lived probably one of the most iconic lives in modern times. He led a rebellion to defeat the imperialist regime right under the shadow of America. He protected his people and his country from American invasions through Cold War and post Cold War. He survived countless number of assassination attempts by the CIA. Finally passed away peacefully having completed his goals and leaving behind a independent country. Rip 😔🌷

RIP Castro. what a courageous soul, fighting to free families from oppression. Survived 600+ assassination attempts by a nation that topples more democracies than any other. He succeeded at serving his people well.

But Patricia, is the word "RUTHLESS" appropriate in the background of his funeral? He was clearly cherished by his own people for more than 50 years. Isn't Al Jazeera's reporter Alan Fisher demonizing Fidel Castro in a way by calling him ruthless? And if that's true, what will Al Jazeera gain from such a twisted reporting? I'm a bit perplexed.

True, the many of the Cubans in Miami are TOTAL SELL-OUT$. It's one thing to leave Cuba, but another to help the USA make life for your family members still living in Cuba very difficult, and also help the USA gain control of Cuba only so that they can continue to exploit that nation again for their own selfish interest$ & the few elite Cubans who are only loyal to money and not the Cuban nation.

I wonder why he imprisoned your father? I hear, "he put my whatever in jail but they never say why. I would like to know why they were jailed, because anyone can get put in jail even here in America where you can even get shot for being Black & running away from a police officer, or lying down with your hands in the air, or black an legally carrying a firearm and telling the officer. You and others like you who make the same claim, "Castro put my blah, blah, blah in jail and never saying why it happened are only telling half the story just to make it seem as if that kind of thing only happens in Cuba. You are not in a unique situation when worse happens here and you exiles don't say a F*&KING word about it. HYPOCRITES!
