Crack! You dominated! March to the final, my friend!

“Dominated”is a bit of a strong word, considering I was working from the bottom position, but thanks!

Oh, I was there! Wish I could've met you. Also glad to see you posting content again. Can't wait to see more

No kidding? How did things go for you there? What division did you compete in?

@@Roll_Vids master 1 blue super heavy. I won 2 and got knocked out by someone I lost to here in Texas before. He scored a takedown and stalled for the rest of the match. Just sat in my guard and kept his head down and arms in my pits for the entire final minute, getting two stalling penalties. Hopefully you did better than me! Excited to find out in your next set of videos

@@Babjengi That’s impressive. Half of all the athletes go home defeated after one match. Half of the remaining guys go home after the second match. You were still in there. Well done! Too bad about Mr. Staller, but that’s the way the game can be played and won (blame the rules makers, I guess).

@@Roll_Vids I mean top 8 isn't bad I suppose. Would've been nice to take home a medal at least, but you're right. Thanks for the useful perspective. Keep those videos coming!

That was a smooth transition to the arm bar. It was the perfect first match. His aggression was a good jolt, but not enough to tire you and you had energy for the next round. Nice!
@Roll_Vids Жыл бұрын
Yes - It was a good jolt for sure! Fortunately, we have some guys who like to grip and rip a bit at our gym, so it wasn't completely foreign to me!

@@Roll_Vids my teammates want me to go and compete at Worlds Gi (lightweight, brown belt). Any tips? How do brackets look like?
@tube3313910 ай бұрын
@@Roll_Vids did you cut weight for the event?
@Roll_Vids10 ай бұрын
@@tube33139 First tip - Just do it - It's a cool experience no matter what. Beyond that, man, I don't know what to tell you. I leaned heavily on the advice Keenan gives in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZ-qfJp8idlkn5osi=_650V-Hc_HAovDU- I'm not sure how the brackets will fill in your division, but you'd get a pretty good idea if you looked at brackets from previous years. Go get it!😁

@@tube33139 Not really. I had registered several months earlier, so I stayed pretty much on weight through that time. I got down to 168 in 2017 when I did World Masters, but it was a struggle and I wanted to try my luck at middle weight this time.
