@Roll_Vids
@Roll_Vids 17 күн бұрын
Not a huge fan of it. It rattles on rough roads, doesn't seal well, and it's loud to open and close when we are stealth camping (or even campground camping). It's nice for tight quarters, like when I park it in the garage, and it's a plus to have a large opening when we haul stuff or sit on the floor with our feet on the ground. Still, I'd happily swap it out for a swinging door.

Glad you shared. Sometimes, I watch other grapplers and wonder why they seem so cool under pressure when sometimes I worry about being smushed. - Oddly, I became slightly claustrophobic after dealing with a 6 ft 6 in and 300 lb wrestler named Bumblebee. It was the early stage of my grappling journey and we were always paired together. He had the same move every single time. Pass my guard by shoving his elbows in my thighs, kneeing through my guard and a nightmarish side control for almost five minutes. I almost quit due to working with him constantly. - I stayed and now I am other people's Bumblebee (just not as big). - I still panic sometimes when people have an over aggressive side control though.

Thanks! My actual bjj training didn't actually change much, but in the last couple of months before the tourney I did it more often - like 4-5 times/week instead of 3. I scaled back my weight training and did a bunch of torturous cardio training on the treadmill. I pushed through six 6 minute "rounds" of fast running separated by a minute of recovery. This translated to more active open mats and "cardio confidence" that Keenan Cornelius talks about. I also followed some of Keenan's advice about mental preparation.
