Hi, only ever seen you on Shorts, till now. Now I know it was right to sub your channel. This will be a wonderful experience that you'll both never forget. But it will either bring you much closer together, or tear you apart. I hope you BOTH succeed with this enormous challenge you have set yourselves and complete the journey the way you both planned it. That high ridge with the cows on it at about 9.50 mins into the video, was truely spectacular. Hi, we salute you for the badass decision you made, and we hope you’re having an amazing time with your tour. We would like to ask you a technical question regarding your panniers, please. Are you using the Ortlieb Gravel-Pack 12.5Litres or the newer version of 14.5litres? and have you tried using both panniers lock systems of QL2.1 and QL3.1? We really wanna get the same panniers for our off-road bikepacking trips, and we were wondering how secure, stable and rattle-free these panniers and their locking systems on the bike racks are. Your feedback based on your real-life experience would be the best guide for all of us 🙏🏼 We really appreciate your feedback on this matter.

Hi there, thanks for the wishes! We use Ortlieb 12.5 with QL2.1 because you can use any kind of rack you want \ or a rack that fits your bike geometry and tire size. We are using on the rack a few raps of transparent protective foil to prevent rattling. I would recommend a more triangular rack, on which the panniers can rest upon, rather than a straight rectangular one, because it is more gentle to the bags (the lower screws tend to come loose faster on a rectangular rack, I had this already in a trip in Israel). The last recommendation is to distribute the weight evenly on the bicycle, with the heaviest items carried into a frame bag. We wish you really nice adventures as well! ❤
