IMO this was one of the only really good parts of the game. Sure, the Mad Doctor being the main antagonist was extremely disappointing and predictable, but this projector level with this song paired together almost gave me the chills the first time I played it. This level felt like what Epic Mickey 2 SHOULD have been. I would have loved Epic Mickey 2 to have been a more dark and dramatic game.

For real, the Mad Doctor backstory is really dark, it's literally someone dying fighting against his decaying body to survive. The sad point is that instead of truly helping people and ask them for help, he prefers to destroy the world with him. The speech in itself is not bad, and even if this was predictable (which is really disappointing because I feel the moral could have been stronger with some unknown events), I don't find him as a villain disappointing... What they could have added is something more detailed and complex about the Mad scientist situation, because we only learn it at the very end, (even if it's shown at the beggining that he is an animatronic, his action and desire doesn't really makes sens) so it's hard for the player to make a move in that short amount of time to save him or not during the final battle. He would have been more dramatic to get more into his mind, to feel what it's like to be trapped like him, because in the end Mickey didn't learn more than the previous game. I feel that he mostly saved him, because of the '' second chance '' thing, that he wished he would have had in the first place too since he destroyed a world. Even if in the entire game, Mickey is seeing the damages he had done and is feeling really guilty/bad about it. This too could have been more developed, because all I saw is that Oswald was the one being ashamed of doing something wrong and getting the second chance, whereas Mickey should've been more focus with this by the story. But anyway it's still a great game IG

@@lilangeldreams2846 Yeah I agree with you one hundred percent. Is it just me though or does it feel weird that this is the last projector level you go through before you find out the truth. It feels like you should’ve found out what was going on and then went through this projector.

I don't think this game HAD to be darker, since the biggest issue in the last game was the blot and the thinner, but now the blot's dead and the thinner's being taken care of. ...That being said, I agree that their should have been more of a light shed on the Mad Doctor's slow decaying state.

REAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLY disappointing. The trailer said "But a new threat awaits". Seriously? This is new??? Unless they were talking about Prescott, but the Doc used him and tossed him away like a piece of trash. The Blot was a THREAT. How many other villains do you know that rip out the heart of the protagonist? After an epic villain like that, we get this singing weirdo, who I didn't like too much from the beginning.

I agree perhaps I’m biased because Epic Mickey is my favorite video game of all time and one I still play to this day. I liked the second game, but you’re right that was a horrible idea to end on a cliffhanger. What I loved so much about the first game was that it truly felt like you were going through an epic story that had a true definitive ending and you actually felt like you accomplished something knowing that your actions had consequences. One of the second game’s biggest faults was that because you can still play the game after you complete the main plot and watch the last cutscene, you don’t feel like you accomplished anything because you know that you can go and complete any quests or collect any items you didn’t obtain. I know a lot of people who didn’t like the first game because they found it frustrating that they couldn’t go back to the majority of levels, but I appreciated it because it meant that who had to be fully committed to collecting pins or saving gremlins because you knew that you would only have one chance. Also I don’t know if it’s just me who feels this way, but I feel like there was a sense of laziness to the second game because in the first game even though a lot of the characters looked alike and didn’t factor into the main story, the people who made the game still took the time to give a specific name to each of the toons and gremlins. With the second game when you talked to a toon it would just say “male goat” or “purple gremlin”. I know that probably didn’t matter to a lot of people but it always bothered me. I’m sorry to change the subject, it’s just nice to be able to talk to someone who played the games and enjoyed them.
