And in the UK that year the New Boss got an 80 % pay rise refusing to go above the Government norm of 5% for the workers starting the winter of Discontent. After a strike they settled at 17 %

A European view of Ford. It's very refreshing.

Today Ford is a mere shadow of itself, all regular cars deleted with the recent chopping of the Fiesta sealing its fate in the name of electrification and SUVs / crossovers. Very sad

Sadly the only passinger car Ford makes and sells in the US is the Mustang.

Completely agree. Ford has abandoned those of us in the U.S. who don't want to drive some form of commercial vehicle. Even the Mustang name has been watered down with an SUV. You can, however, get a pretty attractive CAR in China, India and Pakistan. They sell a very nice Taurus there. We should still have that kind of choice in the United States.

I had 9 European ford granadas , 2 zodiacs , 1 ford escort and 2 ford fusions. Sadly ford make nothing that i like now. Their cars were perfect for the market in the 70s and 80s.

Back then, Ford was a worldwide seller of vehicles. Yet, its core identity was positively American. That part has been lacking for a long time now and their products are soulless appliances for a faceless globalized market.

I've always loved Fords. I have owned 11 of them over the years. GM was always a little bit of a bigger company and they never tired of bragging about that & rubbing Fords nose in it. BUT, I always thought that Ford actually did BETTER than GM as GM had 2 pickup lines & 5 car lines (6 counting Saturn) whilst Ford only had 1 pickup line & only 3 car lines but yet they were always stepping on GMs heels & breathing down their neck. So I always though Ford the better company for it. !

Crazy how much culture has been lost, all in the name of diversity. The great homogenizing of cultures has left everyone and everything grey and bland.
@BlackPill-pu4vi4 ай бұрын
Diversity has a malignant undercurrent and purpose. Not to homogenize but, to wipe out 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍or at least marginalize us to the point of irrelevancy. That comes straight from Abe Foxman of the ADL. To go into greater detail is impossible because U Pipe.

This, it's really about devaluing Whyte Western European Culture. Which is what created all the benefits from the rest of the world's population over the centuries.
