"Cog in the machine" showed how deep this game could get, a shrieking guitar riff, not too dissimilar to the noise a rusted, dying machine like the machine of society gives when fed too much too quickly, the children in the background being fed through tons of plastic and metal to come out as obedient little consumers to buy from "The Corporation." This game had a fiercely anti-consumerism message that I feel isn't appreciated as much as it should have been. It's a very fun game, yes, but this solemn atmosphere and story are told to the viewer as piece of literature. It's art.

I feel like any expansion onto world of goo wouldn't make it feel good anymore. I could be wrong, if it is amazing though. But do you not remember the end of WoG? It wouldn't really fit in. What makes the game feel good is how it was indie, and it had a sort of charm like that. But it doesn't anymore. Lets say 50K people bought this. It costs $20 at the website, and $7 on big fish games. Lets say that 25K bought it from his website. That is already $500K, and that was being conservative, giving him a lot more recourses to work with, even after 7 years. He would also have a lot more help from the community, which would make it better, but take away from the experience IMO.

@@swagz262 yea, Regurgitation Pumping Station rocks! Even tho the level is really frickin' weird, i mean... You are escaping out of a stomach of some chimney that has eyes, and looks sentient even tho it's probably not

It's amazing to me that a game where you have to get little balls into a tube has much better music than AAA games

well, this has style that AAA games just don’t have!

I never really understood the meaning or ending of this game, but it's got great gameplay and fantastic music. I love it!

it's something about humanity's obsession with beauty and the "need to progress", especially emphasized in the third chapter. When Information Superhighway is destroyed, that is when humanity crashed onto itself. Also touches subjects like the need for energy, disturbing ancient places for oil, a ton of environmental issues etc. It's pretty damn dope when you read the whole thing

You wouldn't expect that kind of soundtrack for a game about goo balls building structures. Yet it belongs to a category of games where unexpected take on the soundtrack works very well.

world of goo is different. thats the best part about it. you wouldn't expect it to be unique or to have this kind of soundtrack, but thats what is so great about it.
