Tips, spirit advantages are really important, to the point where it's sometimes worse to be at a disadvantage that spiritless Go for fast FS metre and double final smash on the skill tree, its op Always read what a spirit battles gimmick is so you dont go in without a counter spirit or something like Pichu in a stamina battle Using primary spirits from the same series as your fighter increases the spirits power (attack and defense) Power is also the number on the top right of a battles description, aim to match or surpass that number so a battle isnt too threatening Edit: @Something... said that you can use the suggested spirit teams for if you're uncertain what team to use. I would only use this for support sports though as sometimes with primaries it might give you a spirit without enough slots to effectively counter the battles gimmick

One tip with the skill tree is to quickly go up and left to get Double Final Smash then head right, you can get Hyper Smash on the way back though it's a bit far, and head to the right branch to get Fast Final Smash Meter and keep being on the right to get Additional Midair Jump then from there you can pick whatever. Spirits, especially supports are very important. I like using primaries with 3 slots so I can pick the best supports needed for the battle like HP up for stamina or hyper smash spirits. Some good spirits to use for generic battles is Special Move up and Hyper Smash. For bosses I recommend either Critical Healing or Autoheal Critical health healing heals you for a lot of percent once you reach 100% but it's a one time use, while Autoheal heals 3% every 5 seconds Autoheal is absolutely broken but the only spirit in WOL that has this effect is towards the end of the game while Critical Health Healing can be obtained early in the game. Keep in mind both of these effects cost 2 slots. There is an effect called Great Autoheal that heals 5% every 5 seconds but it cost all 3 slots to use. BE SURE TO GET FLOOR IMMUNITIES BEFORE TAKING ON SPIRITS WITH LAVA, ELECTRIC, OR SLEEPY FLOORS or else you're in for a nasty surprise

“These spirits are so difficult” Wait til he encounters Legend and Master spirits. Tip: Don’t neglect the skill tree. Seriously, you are going to need it. Tip: Spirits are more susceptible to cheese than they’re susceptible to reads. Sometimes charging a smash attack in the middle of the stage works because they’ll walk into it. If a spirit is giving you trouble, don’t be afraid to pull out someone like Chrom or DK to up-B spike at ledge/throw them into the blast zone during walkoffs. Tip: Be wary of time limits. Sometimes you only have one minute or thirty seconds to kill a spirit before you automatically lose. Star KOS/Screen KOs can sometimes be your enemy here. Tip: Also be aware of win conditions. Sometimes you just need to survive until the time runs out, in which case running away/camping is the best strategy. Tip: Make sure you protect any CPU allies you may have, particularly if they need to stay alive in order to win the battle. The battle against Calamity Ganon is one of these instances-you team up with a Zelda CPU and if she dies, you lose. Tip: Before you take on a boss, make sure you’re aware of what attacks they may throw out and what the tells for them are. Tip: Leave optional spirits for last. Trust me when I say that some of them (cough cough Pauline, Jeff) are optional for a reason. Tip: Be wary of hostile assist trophies/pokemon. Sometimes they can’t be killed and you just have to deal with them, but always try to kill them when possible-especially since a lot of them do not have a timer and will stay until the battle is over. There are a few spirits that’ll help with this, like Pyra and Sheriff, but until them, a few powerful attacks are usually enough to take them out. Some assist trophies/pokemon that I personally find difficult to deal with are Fatal Frame girl, Pac-Man ghosts, Jeff, Sheriff, Sukapon, Wily Capsule, Arceus, Bewear, Ditto (provided you’re playing against a non-low tier fighter), and Latias and Latios. Most of the time you aren’t told who the assist trophy/pokemon is, but 90% of the time it’s whatever spirit you’re fighting (i.e. if you are fighting Bewear’s spirit, the hostile pokemon is going to be Bewear).

The problem you have with spirits you have to feed the spirit food in the spirit menu then once it gets to 99 and its does not have enhancibility that's as strong as it can get and really abuse the advantages like shield beats sword and stuff like that it really helps.

Some tips I can give, On the skill tree at the top left, there’s hyper smash attacks which make your smash attacks stronger and help them charge faster. Plus, you can combine that with endless smash holding which is also at the top left. At the very top right it additional midair jump. Use that. Always and I mean ALWAYS check the spirit strength, type, stars, and side effects.

As someone who has some amount of experience with world of light and spirits, but not a ton, here’s what I would advise: 1: Get a spirit loaf out that is specific to a character you are using. For example, a good spirit loadout for a character like snake who uses a lot of physical attacks would be spirits that up defensive capabilities and physical attacks. 2: Make sure to power up your spirits. Spirits can be powered up by using sp and spirit food( or something like that). This will make your spirits stronger and some can even evolve into even stronger spirits. 3: Use typing to your advantage. At this early point in World of Light, having a spirit type advantage might not seem too useful, but later in the game it is critical. (I’m not even talking late/ endgame. I’m talking more late early game and mid game this becomes very important). When in doubt you can always use a neutral spirit, but if possible, I would almost always recommend using a spirit with a type advantage. 4: Always try to use primary spirits with 3 slots. This allows you to maximize the amount of effects you get from secondary spirits. Unless a primary spirit has an effect that you really want, I highly recommend using a primary spirit with more secondary spirit slots. 5: In the skill tree, you want to look for the skills that give you resistances/immunities to stage conditions. For example, poison floor resistance is something good to have as you may not need to use a spirit to handle a poison floor as you are more resistant to it. Despite this, for certain stage conditions that you can’t become completely immune to via the skill tree, I recommend just using a spirit that makes you immune to the hazard. 6: Always explore and rescue more fighters. This may seem obvious, but the endgame is very difficult if you don’t have the proper spirits and fighters to handle it. Once you get far enough into the game, lower power spirits and fighters generally get much easier to defeat, so it never hurts to backtrack to get more fighters. 7: Do more spirit battles than necessary. Although it may seem like a great idea at first to beeline it straight to the endgame, it is wise to backtrack and defeat spirits you skipped. (You don’t necessarily have to do every spirit battle though, as there are some optional battles that are VERY difficult with few good rewards that I recommend skipping. ). Spirits you might have skipped the first time going by might prove to be critical later in the game, especially since you are only using WoL spirits. You need to at least have 1 spirit that makes you immune to every stage condition. Hope these tips helped and I hope you make this a series. I really enjoy it. Also, on a side note there are multiple endings(2 bad endings and 1 good ending). If you think you can handle it, I think you should go for the true(good) ending. It’s definitely harder to do though but nothing someone with a 76% on his math test can’t handle.

Get unflinching smash attacks, the FS meter ones, and then smash attack ones, also possibly the extra double jump if you want to use a bad recovery character. Many things like poison and fire damage reduction are in the skill sphere section, and if you get them then it helps a lot imo

*Here’s a few tips:* you can press Y when choosing a primary spirit and the game will choose a spirit that’s has a strong type against the enemy and with a power close to the enemy. Think of the types like Pokémon, Attack=Fire Defend=Water Grab=Grass. Try to avoid Legendary Spirits unless you have really Powerful Spirits or else you will get cheesed.

For 2 double jumps go to the right and up. It'll be the last one on the upper right corner. Under strong wind resist on the bottom left, you can heal when you hit a smash attack, which is one that helped me out a lot when playing world of light. In the towards the left just under and to the left in the middle of a circle increases special move power times 2 which can help out a lot. The last one that really helps is the very top right one is hyper smash attacks which helps out a lot.

I did a lightlocke for myself and won in the most painful way possible. The only characters I had left were Lucina, Bayonetta, and Toon Link. I lost Pichu, Mario, Dark Samus, Greninja, Shulk, Cloud, King K. Rool, King Dedede, and Kirby all in the final battle. After that, I only had two characters left, which were Daisy and Bayonetta. So I decided to pick up Toon Link and Lucina. Other characters were blocked off by really hard spirits, like Ken, Rosalina & Luma, Ryu, Incineroar, and others I probably forgot. Toon Link was blocked off by an ace, and Daisy almost died. And against Omega Ridley, I kind of got lucky. And with very little hope I had, I went off to the final battle. I decided to use Daisy, Lucina, and Toon Link in this order. I had Great Auto Heal on, and Daisy absolutely swept the floor on the bosses and dealing half the amount of health on Galeem and Dharkon. She then died, the Lucina came in and won the battle. Getting Toon Link was absolutely useless but he was just there for the ride.

When you unlock a area, look at where you are trying to go and then try and play the least amount of fights possible.
