Let's Build a Dungeon is a gloriously bonkers game about building an MMO, which for those unfamiliar with the term is a big online multiplayer world. Think World of Warcraft or Elder Scrolls Online, we're going to build one of those! Or certainly try...
We begin by adding some decoratives to our little starting village, which grows as we add more decor, something which of course we are very happy with! We decide that all of the players must be Explorers and then we get to sort out a few quests.
The first few quests are basic ones but the third one involves us finally building a dungeon! There are multiple levels and many, many items for us to put into the dungeon. Crates, barrels, destroyable pots, ancient statues, spooky lights, water, moss, archways and, of course... monsters!
However, at this point things get weird and very meta, because we have to stop designing our game and go to 'our' PC desktop, because the servers have crashed. But they haven't really, but in-game they have, and then to check everything is OK in our MMO we go in and play it. So we're playing a game, in a game. Marvellous!
We use a messaging service to chat with an unhappy customer, a kid sends us a picture of a, evil beastie and then the boss tells us to kill everyone on the server with monsters.
See? Gloriously bonkers.
NOTE: This is the demo version of the game.
