World of Motion was about the history of transportation and a glimpse of the future, Test Track is about CREATING the future of transportation. The current version even gives guests the power to try their hand at making the future by designing and testing concept cars!

The current version is a lame Tron Overlay and that’s why it’s getting retooled in the future.
@jimbodeek Жыл бұрын
@@edwardleemiller-eo8jp I think what they were going for was the idea of how computers are involved in the design process nowadays… Not only do computers allow us to model a concept design, but also to test it before we build it. All the tests on the SimTrack were meant to demonstrate our power to simulate all the tests that would otherwise require physical prototypes and actual tracks. Extreme weather conditions, the environmental impact, handling, speed… All tests that could be run with different programs on our computers. I don’t know what the new version will entail, but… I just hope it retains the “Transportation” theme at all. Maybe it’ll lean into the time travel element from World of Motion, taking guests on a whirlwind tour of history?

It's fun to listen to rides in what is now considered "barf alley". Back then though I think it was known as "lengthy alley" as universe of energy, horizons, and world of motion were all pretty lengthy 😊.

On the first trip to Epcot we totally missed the ride. Went through all the exhibits and for whatever reason missed the ride. When I finally discovered it years later I wasn’t impressed. Definitely the weakest of the original attraction lineup.
