Well to be honest he should have got his place back because the stupid flagman should have never found the yellow. If his car lost power could no longer go he would have turned left to the infield. His car really didn't slow all that much if you really want I see no reason for that flagman to have thrown the yellow. It wasn't Thornton's fault the flagman f.... D up.

An opinion: He was off speed about 5 seconds. And if you are 1 of the top guys they usually are quick to throw a caution for you to get to the work area given the backlash they've got before for not throwing them. When they realized they had made a possible error it was decision time. Given the circumstances this is what they went with. There is a blend rule for WOOLMS and a situation like this is not covered in it. It only states if you spin and keep going you blend. And Ricky slowing and then restarting is basically a spin. So I'm OK with it. Good job RTJ.

Really loved the 5 wide missing man formation for Rick Eshelman, got heavy goosebumps. On the track Pierce and RTJ put on a show. After RTJ raced back to lead from 7th on last restart he officially took the crown from Pierce for best late model driver in the country 2023.

He should be dam glad he was only put behind the 3s after causing the caution. If you are deemed the cause of the caution, you go to the rear of the field. No questions asked, plain and simple. The finish of this race and the last 20 laps are complete crap. I'm not a fan of any particular driver, just a fan of dirt racing. Causing a caution in dirt racing has always resulted in being put to the rear, no matter who you are.
