QuickyBabyTV To be honest: i still love it. It is not nessecary for a tank to be OP to like it. It has a great firing arc, great mobility and still great rate of fire. And the gun is still accurate for an arty.

My thoughts on the FV304... How does it carry 65 shells??? The thing is tiny... and the shells are 114mm, pretty large, and it's even weirder that it carries over DOUBLE the amount of shells of the bishop, which is massive. Heck it carries more shells than the T-62a which has smaller calibres of shells as well and is far larger. In my experience playing the FV304 you have to aim for engine decks and I preferred getting into games where I was bottom tier- infact, my first ace tanker game was in a fail platoon where I got into a tier 10 match and did over 3000 damage. This spg is meant to whittle down enemy hitpoints. Certain tanks seem to be more vulnerable to this thing, which I found to be: Churchills (For whatever reason) Tigers (Another tank with flat armor...) T1 heavies and M6s Hellcats, nashorns, tds with no armor T-34s of all types Light tanks who are dumb enough to sit in front of your gun A-44s, Object 416s (try to aim for their engine decks) IS-3 turret and engine top In general the further away a tank is, the more damage you will do because the shells will be dropping down on them more, and the roof armor of tanks is very poor.

Douglas McAllister In my opinion, arty is actually the worse class in the game, because of bad dpm and complete reliance on RNG. I do, however, think it needs rebalancing, but that doesn't necessarily mean nerfing or buffing, but an overhaul of the mechanics.

I've ground through the FV304 and find it to be one of the most frustrating and rewarding tanks at the same time. My win rate wasn't really great in it because I kept getting dumped into higher tier matches and found it hard to really do much more than tracking the opposing team. In tier 6 matches I generally did well, but they were few and far between.

FV304 was one of best arties in game. I had it I was able to deal 4000 damagz to the VIII tiers sometimes. Trick is to shot at 460+ meters and then there is not any problem with penetrating even IS 3 and, also i played tier IX battles with not bad damge. I think I was 6th best by damge and 3rd best by expirience. It has great accuracy same as BISHOP ! and that's why I often play bishop. Same gun ... lower MM. Then you doesnt have any problems to kill KV1 or M6 within 20 seconds. ULTIMOZE ! PS: nice playing Warpig and great comentary QuickyBaby.

People complain about arty camping and stuff like that, but that’s like complaining about a light sitting in a bush to spot the enemies, and not shooting. They are doing their job, to spot. And the arty is sitting in the back shooting the enemies, its their job. Plus, arty usually has paper armor and minimal HP, they shouldn’t be on the frontline pushing, they’d get incinerated.

People complain about artillery when they have the same amount of them in their team and they very often safe many of them life. Secondly the arty is barely always the first to kill or The Last to kill ( so both are really bad situations) Playing arty is a risk always because they can shoot the enemies as long as are not spotted. They are one-shoot to kill. And reload more than 30 sc. Just not able to defence themselves in 99% of cases, so they pay their price for it

I just want to point out something WarPig was doing in this game, that it doesn't seem like I see very often: looping shots over armor. Normally, in artillery you would just aim for a target and if you manage to HIT, you're happy...if you get lucky and somehow hit top armor, GG. But it's not something you generally aim for. The 304, though, has fair accuracy and such a high shell trajectory that with a bit of luck, it can nail top armor. The way to do this is to aim slightly *behind* the enemy vehicle so that the shot is more likely to either drop onto the top armor (the green trajectory line will show you the impact centerpoint, but doesn't work in replays) or go over. Aiming straight at the target tends to increase the chance to hit it, but it'll generally hit front/side/back armor instead for heavily-reduced damage. The nerf to the 304 a while back, as well as the general accuracy nerf, have made this harder to do, I would say he got fairly lucky in this game...but it's still worth aiming for, especially with otherwise really heavy targets like KVs and IS's. IS-3's are my favorite thing in the world to lob shells into, because their top armor is so hilariously weak that even the 304's low penetration consistently goes through. Edit: of course, if you use Battle Assistant, it takes a lot of the guesswork out of aiming for top armor, especially with stationary targets.

The fv304 is amazing its more of a light tank than an spg except is has indirect fire mode which is amazing. I have gotten 14 kills in some games with this thing if you play it correctly. Also this thing can actually perform in T10 games because it is a track destroying monster and of course it can pen because it hits the tops of tanks. Anyhow liked the video quicky and anyone who is thinking of getting this tank I highly suggest it.

I can understand why arty is good, but the amount of times I get shot and tracked in the bullshit of places and I get tracked over and over again, I was playing my t29 and was permanently tracked for 3 mins against lower tiered opponents because all 3 of the artys were attacking me, then it's annoying, but I do appreciate artillery when they are not douchebags.

So I did 2.3k damage, 5 kills, For Counter Battery-Fire, top of the team, in a tier 8 battle. It was also a loss, I couldn't fight against 5 tier 8s. Even after the nerf, I was able to get my Mastery Ace, and a Gore's medal.

my buddy got 11 kills on himmelsdorf encounter, i got 2 for a total of 13 kills, in platoon. we were in su5s. we both survived, we were last 2 alive, he got a billottes medal to! this was before 8.6 nerf. as for low mid tier arty baby? well, I no longer play them.
