I'm thinking they'll go more for the idea, that if it's good, people will grind it, likely spend premium account time on doing so, and the Pantera. Possibly gold in the process, between ammunition, consumables, equipment, credits, experience etc.

Comparing to the Progetto, Pantera has got another feature that can greatly help you finish enemies, it is good at ram. With the extra armour and the extra weight, to ram with Pantera it is a real pleasure.

I got this tank a few hours ago, let's just say I'm glad I didn't need the upgraded tracks to mount the better gun. The stock gun against same and higher tier heavies was pathetic

Yes, after it's all upgraded it can be a huge threat. Happened to get a Radley's with it just last night. It's great at cleaning up lots of low health targets.

I have a lot of respect for these Italian medium auto loaders. a few weeks ago I was privileged to get to play a sheriff's account... had ALL the tanks in the game with FULLY trained crews to choose from. having played against and with some progetto's I figured i'd give it a whirl. WOW, what a machine. I had to modify my game play slightly, but once I got the hang of it I was having a blast. duck and dodge till I had them to a point a clip would end it and BAM! they were mine. fast, nimble, heavy enough to ram effectively, great gun, good DPM, decent gun depression... the only weakness I found was the armor, they don't bounce/block many hits, but hey, it's a medium, lol. one thing to pay attention to is re-aiming between shots, it seems the aim time is a tad slower than the "in clip" reload time, and if you fire before it's aimed you'll most likely miss completely. not a tank you wanna miss many shots in as the whole clip reload time is a bit frustrating.

Before the nerfs, I would have said the AT2 was the best tier-for-tier ftp tank. Sure, you were occasionally stuck with tier 7 tanks and were more useful as a meat shield with all that armor. Same tier and even against tier 6 tanks it could out-perform at both long range and close range provided you don't get flanked.

Well I don't believe that progetto 46 is just a flat out better tank than panthera, as some people say. As you mentioned, better 3rd round reload speed, slightly better armor, better standard ap pen and better top speed of the panthera is the reason why. If you see progetto and panthera racing to the same spot side by side, you'll notice that panthera can get there much quicker. I believe that WG actually did a good job of making these 2 very similar vehicles at least a bit different from each other.

The joys of playing a T-34-3 and being matched against Progettos (happened 3 games in a row tonight). Even though I think there are too many standard autoloaders in the game now, at least they have a downside. The auto reloading system is simply OP (even done the Italian way). It's not helped by the fact that MM doesn't do a good job of matching up autoloaders, so it's not unusual to have 6 on one side and 2 or 3 on another. That makes a massive difference when pushing a flank. With the popularity of Frontlines and the announced regularity of that game mode, it's going to be a bonanza for WG next time they put the Progetto up for sale. Not that Frontlines isn't already awash with Progettos.

As soon as I played the P44 I realised it was the best T8 in the game... but I kept it to myself.. it's miles more useable than the P46.. just feels right

@Big O that's why I kept it to myself.. lol... but can you really say which T8 medium is actually categorically better? Lorr 40t? P46? T-44-100? Centurion? Lorr 40t is the only medium that *could* be considered absolutely better but it's a one trick pony.. whereas the P44 is strong with something to offer in every phase.. I.e. trades.. even in a defeat.. and maybe P46.. well I again simply thought the P44 was (better cos of the guns compact burst...especially the 2 shot from cover... plus the P46 wants u to use gold more) The others have too low alpha (they all have bad alpha) if the new British Medium (the reward one? Forget the name) had good fun handling it may be considered better.. not sure tbh.. it's a candidate

Had similar experience with P44. When I got it, I already had Progetto and Pantera seemed far inferior, but after few rounds of Frontlines - Pantera is getting better and better in my eyes. Maybe the not so awesome stock grind had something to do with my opinion about Italian tier 8

This is a great tank but I just cannot for the life of me make it work. No idea why.

It is good.. it feels more reliable. The turret is tiny and strong (ish). It unloads fast. The rounds feel more accurate. It just feels a simple less chancy tank. The way to do it is (2 mins in) to trade 1 shot.. make them KNOW if they extend ur gonna put 3 into them.. and have a team mate or place to fall back to.. then about 5 mins in if ur losing ur flank pull back.. if ur winning ur flank punish everything with 3 rounds and capitalise on mobbing.. the once u win the flank back to base if u lost the other flank or sit in bush while ur team mates push into their base and get u vision. If u lost flank use 2 shots inadvertently first shot advantage and pull back in to hard cover rinse repeat It's a GREAT trader. It's a GREAT intimidater of them pushing in trades ( simply not firing ) it's fast enough to relocate. It's reliable to get 2 shots most clips so when u unstealth it'll get u 500 dmg.

Always interesting game play, tips & info QB. Is there really a mechanical pulley driven shell reloader, spring loaded or is it hydraulic built in this line of WoT auto reloading tank cannons?? I like wot. But sometimes the newer tanks from recently added nation lines seem fictional or overpowered to compensate for a tank line that might be realisticly weak. Hopefully your holiday was good.

On Console the Italian Autoreloaders got a -27% Nerf to it's Damage Per Minute (Even the Progetto 46) so not a good option for us. I love the Standard B despite the nerfs and got my first mark. Without Food (We don't have Super Equipment), Standard B reload is 45 seconds and Progetto 65 is 54 seconds.

If you don't have the premium T8 (to train your crew) the italian tech tree is a real pain to grind up to the Standard B. There should have been another premium low tier (5 or 6).

I wasn't able to get the Progetto 46, probably cause the Marathon was.. Impossible back then. I'm a very average/slightly below average player so Marathons are impossible I thought I was gonna suck at the Pantera and/or hate it. But its actually a really fun tank. Don't tell my T-44, but I think I like it better than the T-44. It's also wonderful in Frontlines Love the Vid QB

Getting to the ISU is not painful at all. And getting it upgraded yeah well.......... You just camp shoot HE at lights and TD's and later spank HEAT at the heavies. I would say its one of the more enjoyable ones. Grinding to the udes tho........

Zerind Szendrey ye - SU-100 is still kinda op and SU-152s HEAT has the pen of tier 8 and 9 heavies while the damn swedish tier 6 td reloads long, doesnt hit shit, hasnt that good pen and never does more than 280 dmg

I love the Pantera but I do have one complaint. The sound effect for the second shell reloading is different than the other two shells and it occurs about 1/2 of a second before the shell is actually reloaded. This often results is me often firing the gun a fraction of a second too soon. Why WG? Why do you troll me like this?

Newer battle type for your Tier 8s. Respawn when you die. Several objectives and repair sites. Available for finite periods of time. You can choose it from the Random/ battle type on upper middle right. Watch QBs video on it. Hope that helps.
