I sadly did not capture it. But yesterday in my Tiger 1 H i asked if i could get top gun while having the last enemy in my sights (artillery) last surviving teammate typed "no" in chat. He drove in front of me (wich made me bounce my shot) trying to get the kill for himself. In short = We both died due a single artillery shell and lost the match.

Let's be honest, most of us who play WOT and WOWS are not super-unicum players with sky-high win rates. Most of us are ordinary, average players who occasionally make a complete and utter balls up the start of game. But being to admit you screwed up is a sign of a player who is at least self-aware, which I applaud, so while you could rip Kenny apart for the first half of that game, admitting as much and still sending the replay in gets kudos from me.

I think if he'd been in proper position early in the game, he'd probably have been wrecked at the same time as all the other competent players. Boneheading his positioning and managing to survive allowed him to mop up the you-go-firsts and folks who just don't know how to evaluate risk in the game, when they came out to try and win.

For what it's worth, Kenny has my respect for allowing other tanks/arty the right away by politely backing off instead of ramming them at the beginning of the match. That right there shows the kind of polite personality he probably has. Not many in WoT have that anymore. Kudos to you sir.

More luck than skill that helped Stgkenny1814, his positioning at the start was terrible and his poor situational awareness and poor aim cost him shots against tanks like the FV4201(A45), Churchill VII, and Type 58 that cost some of his allies their HP. But at the end he managed through more the enemy team's incompetency or overestimation of their odds and he was at least able to capitalize on those when it finally mattered, otherwise this would've ended on a heart break loss.

Absolutely luck, he completely let down his comrades in the NW corner of the map right when they needed him by hiding instead of pushing up, that could have easily been a 9 kill match with only reasonable skill and effort

Are we sure arty wasn't out of ammo or such? Any competent arty player seeing how many HP the enemy TD has left would know they could finish him with a near miss. At least I would go down swinging/shooting if it was me, as I always do when playing arty. I know some arty would rather just kill themselves though and to them I say ... scumbag! Smart arty would have seen where the enemy was and relocated to get a better angle while the SU-122-44 held him off. The Hummel still had ammo it looked like and he instead chose to come down the middle to TD mode him?? Then again, smart teammates would have all rushed our hero at once.

like me, you did not know about the new physic of flipped tanks; 15 sec and back on tracks. I learned this after spending 3+ mins trying to "help" a e25 that had flipped. Every time I bumped the e25 the 15 sec would reset. I stopped b/c enemies were closing in, then suddenly the e25 was beside me; how did that happen? With a suprisingly friendly PM the player explained the new physic. All I could do was tears running down my cheeks laugh imagine how many "WTF RU F-ing DOING" and more the e25 player must have been muttering. I don't pay attention to chat unless its a close battle and team work is needed. Congrats to the victor, took what they gave. I do think the 2nd arty was trying to get depression for a shot but went too far; maybe?

As someone who has flipped his E25 on way more occasions than i care to admit, i learned long ago that the chances of being able to unflip that tank are fairly slim and highly dependent on the surrounding terrain. Because its so flat of top it tends to just slide on it’s roof, and without the right ramp or speed from the helper tank, it really doesn’t want to go back over.

First - and ONLY - time I ever used that vehicle on a friend's comp. The client crashed within the first 10 seconds, reloaded with a 5/1 deficit on the team. Rolled into the fight way late and pummeled things the dying team members were spotting. Got my friend his first Radley Walters, top on damage despite missing half the game, and took not a single point of damage (because I never got shot at despite driving right up to the back of an IS-3 and blasted it twice in the back end before it figured out something more dangerous than an overturned vehicle was shooting it... and died before they could get the turret around). This was, of course, 8-ish years ago when TDs still had good camo after firing and the JP was (if I remember correctly) a touch more nimble.

I play artillery occasionally. I have NEVER dived off a cliff to prevent dying. I fight it out to the bitter end. I have gotten the occasional Shotgun satisfaction though. Makes it worth it. The surprised look on their face when they walk into it.

Possible, but I think it's unlikely. There is enough time for a G.W. Panther to run out of ammo in an 11 minute battle, but the player would have to be running a bond rammer with chocolate to bring the reload down enough. It carries 30 shells and they'd have to be firing on reload the whole time, including from the first time they've loaded a shell after the game has started.

I denied once a Raisenai medal on a enemy KV-220-2, he was a well known sealcubber back then on NA region and in his stats he never managed to get one in his wot history. He left the game a month later and never come back. I was around 2018 on SARL 42 on himmelsdorf, but i end up with almost no health meanwhile he almost killed the entire team and was with like 90% hp. After some cat and mouse capturing his base wasnt possible so i went to hill and you know the rest.

Back in the day I played the VK40.02 (P) Ausf. A. (I am sad that I did not try it out earlier, because shortly after it was rendered useless by powercreep). I too used the 10.5cm. The alpha damage was worth more than the pen or the DPM. I used the 10.5cm on this tank to stop mediums and lights from flanking because it had the speed of a medium, but better armor while still having a punchy gun. Kindy like my E50 on T8 back then. I used two repkits and a FE. Crew did not die that much. And if some of my crew died, it was not too bad. I had a very good crew so I could compensate and only suffer minimal performance loss. It was more important to have two times the ability to get the tracks back up or the engine/gun. Fun times...

Personally, I think you can't go wrong with either the JPanther's long 88 or the 105 gun. They're both good. I also tend to favor the 105 because, as Jingles pointed out, the accuracy and penetration are only marginally better on the 88 while the 105 enjoys a noticeably better aiming time and alpha damage (and the reload speed is actually decent considering it's a 105). Having a harder hitting gun is especially nice in those moments when you only have time to get one shot off. I still love the long 88 too though.

WG decided to go the console route and will flip your tank back on tracks after a short time. Honestly, WG should release WoT Classic so that Jingles' knowledge would be current again.

2:11 sorry to correct you there, but not really, it gains 40 more DPM, and slightly better accuracy and shell velocity and... 3mm better penetration, while the 105 gun has better aim time, better alpha damage, premium ammo penetration and can overmatch thicker armor plates so I'd say the 105 is the go-to gun on that tank, having higher alpha with very minimal disadvantages (and in some cases advantages) compared to the small alpha gun is overall always better I my opinion, the 88 would only be viable, if it had at least 200 more DPM and the same aim time compared to the 105 gun

I think sometimes, at least in WG properties, this happens because people dink around ineffectively outside the real areas of engagement, until the competent players have decided the match for them. In most cases, this leads to a very short match, but sometimes there's a stalemate, and one team also has a surviving good player or two, or some who are learning to be good, or were just having a bad game, and suddenly they become the most competent player on the battlefield, at exactly the time when the hiders, slackers, infallibles, and true incompetents realize that they have to decide the match themselves. That's one way we get these hilarious last stands against hilariously bad or disorganized opponents.

I can see a solution to the suicided problem. Create a new medal. Name it after one of the US pacific theater tankers. If there is only one player left on each side and the other dies without being shot you get the "Forced Hara-kiri" Medal. Thus if the last tank suicides' you still get a prize for it. In a couple of battles on the pacific islands and in the Philippines several Japanese tanks made suicidal attacks rather than surrendering. That's not quite the same thing but its close.

That... Was simultaneously one of the WORST, and also one of the BEST examples of TD play I've ever seen. That first half was painful to watch. And yet he turned it around really quickly at the end, there. Biggest loser award absolutely MUST go to the SU-122-44, though. Even with the unbelievably bad luck on the first shot, with the health, armor and RoF advantages he had, this match should have ended right there. Even a simple ram (which any good driver knows that Stalin's Hammer is pretty decent at) would have easily done the trick.

Luck is a large part of doing well in WoT. Against "Stalin's Hammer" he should have been shot by arty in the back. The enemy team should have capped, they shouldn't come one by one, or stand still in the middle. Sure, he made his fair share of mistakes, like we all do, but the last 6 of the enemy tanks, shame on them. Literally everyone wanted to be the hero.
