Those tracks look pretty cool, I'll have to think about getting some for a kit bashing project I'm in the middle of depending on your review and the price.

If you didn’t say it in the video already that t34 was an old zevezda kit! :D

The British Modeller Thanks, I have been trying to figure out what kit that was.

The t 34 in world of tanks is a experimental t 34 that never saw combat

It’s just not. The T-34-85 is in game and saw combat.

those tracks are amazing!! expensive though...

why do you always glue the tracks in before painting?
@HerbertErpaderp6 жыл бұрын
You asked this on one of the few videos in which I didn't glue the tracks down... I mostly glue them on so I don't lose them and so I can play with the vehicle before I get around to painting it.

You've mentioned the rectangular mud guards. These where installed with post war production T-34/85s.

Nice job and video.... With the way you did the front hatch, the driver would be driving blind.......just a thought, no criticism. The 3 hinges on the tool boxes go against the hull, not outside. But in the end probably doesn't matter.....the "pipes or bars" as you called them, are connections to the rear smoke generators which I assume were not included.

Those gaps though...yikes. The tracks are a nice touch.

The idler axle probably was not keyed so you could decide how much tension to have in the track.

Hey Herbert! Great video as always! Can you do a video explaining the difference in scales like 28mm, 1:35, 15mm, etc? I'm new to modeling and don't really understand the differences. Thanks!!
@warriormes60126 жыл бұрын
There isn't that much to it... The fraction-scales like 1:72 and 1:35 tell you by what factor the real thing was scaled down when turning it into a model, while the scale in mm is the size of a human at that scale. So, 28mm = 1:56 and 15mm = 1:100.
@warriormes60126 жыл бұрын
There are scales usually used for less detailed but easier to assemble gaming models (1:100 and 1:56), and other scales usually used for more difficult to build and fragile display models (1:72 and 1:35), though this is more a trend than a rule.

Warrior Me's explanation is quite good. Though I do plan on making a video on this topic, just to help with visualising different scales and the difference between them.

I was hoping to get this model from the Bovington Tank museum , but I chose not to because of the price

Great job on the T-34/85 ! I've been thinking about getting one those and now I want one !!! You can get several tank riders sets if you want them riding outside as was common. You made one error,if you want a correct WWII T-34/85 you have reversed the fuel tank placement. It should be 2 on the left and 1 on the right, usually with the wooden box where the hand rail would be. The shovels were ahead of the box. Check if the antenna base is still there. If it is remove it and replace it with a plug that looks the pistol ports. I like the German 3-tone camo on your game tank. You wouldn't be out of place using that scheme. Don't forget the black crosses. I like the looks of white outline red numbers on it. I did one like that years ago. I can't wait to see what you do for the finished tank... ???

Hey Herb who makes the tracks ?there the best part of the model . I’m building a T-34/42 1 3/5 scale and would like to get those tracks. Thanks for the build but I’ll pass on that WoT kit way to expensive when I can buy a Dragon kit for the same amount. Later dude.
