Why does the leopard do 420dmg with a 105 and the STB does 360dmg with a 105? It's an arcade game the size of the guns vs the damage isnt always consistent because theyre trying to balance all the aspects of the tanks

Circum did start out eating and trying to take the piss, but towards the end of the game he was so engrossed he put down the food and focused on winning. He also said that the game was genuinely enjoyable - meaning that despite all his hatred of the class, he realised that a) they do take a lot of skill/concentration and b) they are great fun if you get it right.

@Wolfdog The answer to that is - Don't get into a position where you can do nothing about it! If you are foolish enough to drive into a spot where you cannot avoid being hit - that's YOUR mistake. The way to avoid being hit by Arty is to avoid being seen. Most Arty can only fire at tanks that his team spots. If you are unspotted and a master of camouflage - you are not seen. That doesn't mean we cannot blind hit you - because there are tank players out there that are dumb enough to go to the same spots every time. Arty players do remember those spots and take great delight in watching our shell disappear without an explosion - because we know we worked out exactly where you were without even seeing you.

@AmonomyHitlerBOi I've played Heavy, TD, and mediums before getting Arty. That being said, when I play Arty, I focus on the meat of the battle. Heavies brawling with heavies around corners. And as salty as you are, I'll tell you why Arty is useful. Imagine each class like Chess. The Scout is frontline, heavies are second, mediums third, heavy TD fourth, light TD fifth, and Arty sixth. Arty's main focus is to destroy standstill advancements and anything camping bushes. Let's say there was a tank that was difficult to kill. You might know it's weakness, but not everyone does. In that kind of struggle when your team's being destroyed left n right, arty is there to support you. And usually scouts yolo to kill arty right away. Without arty, the entire game would be decided if the enemy still has arty.

I recall a T92 HMC game on Mines that QB played on live stream. He relocated away from the south east corner to K3 - in the water but pointing towards the hill. A T110E5 was spotted by his team on the north side of the hill near the centre rock and he fired an AP round at it. QB used shell camera and the shell bounced off the front plate of the E5 and shot straight up into the sky... It's still climbing!

Truly. I remember laughing with impunity before the update when I drove into the open and all the arty shells kept exploding 4 miles away from me (Although 1 second later I'd get sniped by like 5 invisible tanks and still die anyway, oh those times where you were new to the game). Muhammad Ahmed Another OP tank, a tank firing high-caliber HE, tank destroyers, meds/lights that can flank it, all manner of things. It would open the meta up to what would be a positive change; Less hiding and camping, and more active searching for interesting positions and strategies.

Along with changes to maps where having low armor is basically a death sentence and foliage being removed making camo useless. Removing Artillery is basically telling a quarter of the player base to find a new game and I doubt wargaming wants to lose any more players.

QB, hilarious artillery player parody! As the owner of a T-92, I get it. I remember a video Dezgamez made a year or two ago in which he parodied artillery players, eating chips and typing complaints to WG between shots about his low damage rolls, also hilarious! Taking a phone call from your dad was a nice twist. Looking forward to meeting you in person at Tankfest this June! Getting to play Classic WoT has allowed me to play my favorite arty again: the SU-26 with the 122mm howitzer. It's painfully slow, has no armor and has very short range. But with a 360deg turret, very high shell arc, quick reload and aim times, tiny size but good quantity of shells, very good accuracy and that beautiful hard hitting 122mm gun, it is awesome. And when WG nerfed it way back whenever, by removing the 122mm gun and limiting it to a 76mm gun, I stopped playing WoT for about 6 months. When I came back, I didn't play arty at all until the FV 304 "Bert" was added and even now it's the only one I play. The old SU-26 still has my highest kills/game ratio of 2.8 to 1, and is my 3rd most played vehicle after the Super Pershing, and the Ferdinand. Both are vehicles I've had for a long time and used to play a lot of before power creep has made them totally useless.

Playing arty is actually tricky. People know the locations that arties can't reach, new fast French cars and counter-arties are threat. Aaaand you should find safe spot where you can deliver your shots from. Arty aces are surprisingly skilled folks.

Fair comment about artillery marking the ground. You should have also said that when the ground is marked don't drive into an artillery shell because you think you have a divine right to the damage. It works both ways.

@@quangkhai6699 I know that. the comment was meant to be fun:D I know a lot of people who moved from playing wot to warships (like me) a few years ago and there the big guns in Wot are mostly only used on the smallest or second smallest ship class (152 is kind of a standard for light cruisers in rl and wows, almost everything below is used by destroyers) and Battleships can have 400+mm, Yamato has 460. So mentioning 240mm and "biggest in the game"...you see what I mean man:D
