I have a confession to make, I don't like the M18 Hellcat, probably because I played the M36 "Slugger" Jackson first, getting used to that good enough frontal armor, decent mobility and good cannon performance, so yeah, I don't like the M18, but I do love the M36, it's one of my favorite tanks in the game :-)

calm down. 3 marking a tank requires a specific game style..you need to play tanks often and you need to go for the support damage aka tracking/spotting. i dont watch many of his streams but he rarely plays a tank twice in a row. i got the 3rd mark on 2 tanks (wz-131 and e50) and tbh i played the crap out of them to get them. if you have like 200+ tanks in your garage like qb and you enjoy playing a lot of them you simply wont get the 3rd mark. anyway, even without 3rd marks on mediums he is a great player and a good entertainer, he could easyly give advice to many of his viewers, most of them are probably yellow and below, some are better..like in the real game. these guys could need a lot of hints of how to imprvove. so abdelragmans idea is a good one

Maybe from your point of view he isn't good enough, I assume you are probably pretty good at the game yourself. however, he is clearly better than me and many others, and also entertaining to watch and listen to. ever since i started watching QB my game play improved and i actually started having fun with game,because i learned so much and started having good games. I think that by now there are only three categories of armour... Always penned, one that is viable for sidescraping at autobounce angle and armour that you need gold ammo to pen. And I think Jackson, even with its 110mm effective frontal armour, falls into the paper tank category.

I enjoy low- and medium-tier tank replays for the variety as much as the action and the lesson they teach. A constant parade of top-tier tanks driven by the most successful drivers is like watching an hour of Match of the Week highlights, and does little for those of us with middling skills and vehicles.

Thank you for showing a game featuring the M36 Jackson, my favorite tank to play. It really is one of those "unsung heroes" of the game. Personally,I like it better than the Hellcat. A few points: snap shot skill is a must for your crew. you can get AMAZING snapshots with this tank. Turret is slow, but track traverse makes up for it. ASAP, get the 90mm gun. This thing can mess up tier VIII tanks when used properly. Loadout: I go with 26 AP, 16 APCR, 5 HE. That seems to be the best combo. Equipment: just like he had in the video (binocs and camo). I'm almost certain he had a rammer too. When top tier, you can play pretty aggressive. Don't worry about staying in back. You'll tear Tier IV and V tanks apart. Even at mid-tier, you don't have to be timid. Enemy composition will determine your gameplay. When low tier, play the support role as any TD does. Find spot, hunker down, and nickel and dime the enemy to death. Once the enemy is 1/2 dead, then you can play a more active role. Hunt down the rest of the enemy tanks with the rest of your team. Almost forgot: the one big advantage the Jackson has over the Hellcat? Turret has a cover on it. Will have better protection against arty.

3:43 A lot of people also don't understand that your dpm is a hidden stat that scales in battle by how much damage your first shot does. You don't have to reload your first shot, meaning even if your gun fires every 14 seconds compared to someone's 2, you have instantly loaded 14 seconds worth of dpm by the time you reach the enemy, while they only loaded 2.

This will have been mentioned before but Slugger was the crew nickname and Jackson was the official "nickname". I put that it quotes because the official names were more of a tribute to a well known military figure than a nickname. Think of Slugger like Easy 8 and Jumbo

Haven't owned an M36 in a long time but it's criminally underrated. It's a pretty good little TD, and it really only suffers by comparisons to the Hellcat.

My late Uncle George served on every U.S. Army TD from N. Africa to the end of the war in Europe and made it abundantly clear that he, as a driver, gunner, TC, and lastly Platoon Sergeant thought the M36 was superior to the lot with only the "Wolverine" being a close contender to the Jackson as a TD.

The Jackson is absolutely one of my top favorite TDs out of all T6 TD and over the Hellcat. After I trained my crew the Camo skill, I decided to get a 7 day camo. But I accidentally bought it permanently. So I decided to keep the Jackson. After a while, I loved it when I realized how it's so easy to play with it. I don't mind the times being the Underdog in T8 games. It still feels great. Then that was when I got my second Mark with only using AP, I decided to keep the Jackson all the way. This tank is amazing imo.

Love watching the lower tier battles. Anyone can play the lower tiers, and really enjoy them. High tiers just cost so much to buy, and take so long to get to, that its just fun to break the monotony of the grind, and have some low tier fun!

QB did a good job of explaining the differences between the Jackson and the Hellcat. The one thing the Hellcat could do better than the Jackson was speed and mobility. However since the Hellcat nerf it doesn't do that as well. The Jackson is a good mid tier TD to play if you enjoy TDs. I carry more premium shells than Bankir does however. They come in handy against those tier 8 tanks particularly the heavies. The 90mm gun on the Jackson is a good gun that does good penetration and damage. It will struggle against faster tanks however. Its not made for brawling since its mobility is somewhat slow. Get Clutch Braking skill however and that helps in that regard. Like all TDs however you do need to keep your enemies at a distance if at all possible.

Absolutely love the Jackson, however, I run the Jackson with the top gun but the stock turret. It gives you slightly less armor but only on the very top of the tank, the front and sides are the same, but with the stock turret you have a bit more concealment and it weighs less so your power to weight is better.

I kept thinking this was the tank I had my best/worst game in but it was the Wolverine. A 9 kill game but I still lost. (Showing w/l rate means very little in pub matches). Wolverine is underrated also. Everyone goes for the T67 and Hellcat but the Wolverine and Jackson seem to be overall better than both of those.

Since the Hellcat is based of the smaller Chaffee light tank, and the Jackson is based off the M4A3E8 Sherman Easy 8, it's logical that the Jackson has a larger ammo count

This was good. I'd like to see more like it (tier 4-7 bottom tier). I play tier 5 exclusively with only an automatic fire extinguisher. I generally run camo net, binoculars and gun rammer. I carry a small number of premium rounds, a large repair kit, and a large medical kit, but rarely use them. I'm so used to grinding that by the time I decide to use any of that stuff it's usually too late. It's irritating to use that stuff just to die seconds later.

Quickybaby, I've subscribed to your WoT videos for a couple of years, now. I'd like to see a mix of mid tier replays in future. Also, it'd be nice to see you make a "welcome to WoT" video showcasing how to angle armor, sidescrape, double bush, etc. along with pointers like the demountable items, consumables and the like. Maybe cross link it with your "how to make credits" video, and plug your reviews so they can learn, as I have, where to aim at the enemy.

Tiers 5 and 6 are the fun levels to play as there are many differences between the tanks that are not as pronounced as at tiers 8 and above. As for the Jackson, I prefer it to the Hellcat and have almost the same load out and equipment. But the reverse speed is the worst problem.

Good video QuickyBaby! Yes, I agree that you're doing too many very high tier tanks or battle reviews. Tier VIII + has a lot of tankers spewing Premium rounds, (apparently they can't aim). Abusing Premium rounds ruins the fun of the game and makes armor irrelevant. Premium rounds are supposed to be used in a *clutch*, not as a *crutch* for lack of skill, (aiming). Tier VI and X tanks are usually huge money pits and lose a lot of silver/credits, which is also not fun. If you could do more tier VI - tier VII tanks and battle reviews, I think you'll find most of your viewers very receptive to this. Keep up the great work you do! That's pretty much the same load out I use on my tanks. Though occasionally I just load straight AP as some tanks have too low an alpha for the sheer cost of their premium shells. That and I spent over 200K credits replenishing the ammo of my KV-1 (100AP, 74APCR....you really don't want to choose the wrong ammo at the start of the game)

I have three marked the hellcat and would like to validate the advantages of the Jackson over the hellcat. My plays style keeps me away from the frontline and makes me snipe. This means that I can use the hellcats speed to keep the action in front of me at all times and the terrible dispersion values of the hellcat become less of an issue. However, the Jackson can do the same things. While slower to getting to position, the Jackson can snap shots so much better than the hellcat. It's slower speed means the dispersion on the reticule doesn't get so big. So yeah.
