This is my first tier ten and after playing it for a few hours the best game I had was 5700 damage 6 kills all tier ten match. It’s not great still I like the Standard B better and I don’t know why.

To be completely honest, I think people are too focused on the DPM of this tank. It's not to be compared to any other playstyle in the game. I think we are gonna need some time to get used to this tank before just calling it trash. However, I would give it some more turret armor and more view-range for now.

Watch video again... it has the worst stats of any tier 10 med. Becouse every med tank or every tank has something special about it like armor, gun, mobility etc... So italian tank has nothing going for it (I'm talking about tier 10) so this "new" mechanic doesnt give it any advantage...

I feel like this tank you have to be very patient, and calculating to do well. Can't rush in and waste shots, need to choose you time to unload carefully to get the most out of it. I don't see it as the worst of the autoloaders, and the worst of the single shots, but more like a single shot that can burst like an autoloader, or an autoloader that can empty a clip and get another shot in after a (compared to other autoloaders full reload) short reload.

Włodzimierz Wasiluk and you know that based on the tanks stats? I sure think the new mechanic is something people underestimate. Most people struggle when it comes to adapting to new things. You can clearly see in the video that QB is struggling to decide what he wants to do, which is not to say that he's a shit player, but rather, he doesn't seem willing to even get used to it because of the new mechanic.

Buff the alpha to 390 and reduce the intro-clip reload to 2.5s would be a nice start, but the thing that I consider really ruins the fun of this auto-reloader mechanic is 1. you cannot mix ammo type in your clip. 2. you'll lose the whole reloading progress of the next shell after you fire the current one. These two are really dumb game designs, plz change it WG

I don't understand why the reload needs to get progressively longer with each shot. just make it a flat 11-12 seconds for each one, bad single shot and auto loader dpm and you don't have to worry about optimizing it. The benefit still being that you are using an auto loader that is ready to shoot more often. It would still be dumb to use it like an auto loader cause you would still want to hold onto as many shots as possible for the moment you can finish off an enemy.

its quite simple: they wanted the DPM to be lower than the other tier X mediums (since it would be strictly better otherwise) but they didnt want to touch the reload of the tank. So how to lower the DPM without nerfing the reload speeds?; the damage of course. Certain tanks would simply be unplayable if the reload was any worse than it is and this tank is a good example of that. Btw im not saying this tank is good because of this

I think the other way round would be more fun. The first shot loads quick and the following ones load slower. So you have to pick between good dpm in single shot or a clip.

I think he meant in the sense that from an empty clip, the first round will load faster than the second round and etc. So you could either take the time to load up a full magazine, or just do single shots on the faster reload.

I played this tank a few times now. I have the mastery badge on it. I play mainly like a support but it feels so nice to be aggressive and one clip tier 8 tanks or if the enemy is at about 1400hp you can just go in and finish him and the you reload. It never felt too long for me. I use that time To reposition or to spot and I got 8000+ dmg in this tank even though I am an average player

Keep in mind, the DPM will likely be 10% better. Full autoloaders can't equip a gun rammer, but this vehicle can. If you're at tier 10 and not using a gun rammer, you're kind of doing it wrong. It's got effectively 2400+ DPM in single-shot.

Sure, but the single shot tanks can't unload 4 shots in under 10 seconds either. It could still use a bit of a buff, just a couple small tweaks, but as it is right now it looks very usable. It's flexible.

I just think a damage increase wouldn't go a miss, or making the intra clip reload much faster to counter the fact it takes ages to reload. We will have to wait and see what makes it into the game but as it stands currently. It's not strong enough to be a tier 10.

The auto loaders can though. It is far worse than an auto loader, cant fight for 52 seconds at the start, cant un load as quick as a TVP, not as good as a Bat chat. Gun stats are poor, mobility is poor, armour is poor.... It is just a bad tank.

As a single shot it should do better then autoloaders but worse then other single shots. And as full auto worse as the auto loaders. I think gun changes should apply. 9/10/11/12 reload 2 sec interclip maybe a view range buff and most important every other 105mm gets 390 dmg just idk why they didnt with this tank. I did some calculations and this would work best for it. It would have mobility issues and still the dpm counting but that is kinda intended. Also with 2.3 aim time and 2 sec interclip you might wanna wait some more making more decissions while not just being the worst MED or even overall tier 10 right now.

Bjorn Stevens It would perform better when emptying it's clip than a autoloader would that way, even if his reload is double after that... that wouldn't matter if you have back-up when reloading. I never go alone in my T57 Heavy to prevent being rushed after unloading. But I have to unload, while he can pull back halfway and start reloading making it way more versatile. It would leave all heavy tank autoloaders in the dust.

Prog would not get higher then any autoloader if played as autoloader but as single it would go to better as most autoloaders and worse than single shot meds. Comparing a med and t57HT is pretty wrong itself since their role in battles is way different.

This could've been a very nice addition to the game! I always would think when I'm in my B-C 25t why when I have 2 shells left why I couldn't reload faster due to some shells being in the magazine. This tank is very underpowered when it comes to firepower. It isn't an auto loader but neither a single shot. It makes no sense to have a magazine when your DPM drops below 1500 when you fully unload. Wargaming didn't think through the Auto-Reloading Mechanics.

If you ask me, make the intershell reload 2.25 The damage back up to 390 and make it so you don’t lose your reload when you shoot. If you want to add a delicious little cherry on top they could let you reload a different shell time on the end. I’d also like to see the gun handling be more like a... STB-1.

It's not really a fair comparison for the Progetto to talk about flat DPM, because of it's hybrid nature: if you look at the damage these tanks you compared can put out in a single given minute (not continuously, even if neither scenarios are common in a real match) the Progetto is able to fire once every ~10secs (keeping one shell reloading) then in the last 10sec of the minute going all-in, it can push out 6*360+3*360=3240 dmg in a single minute. And that is quite impressive, so i wouldn't say it's bad, only that it's very situational (as it's designed to be).

except it takes 50 seconds to get that clip loaded so you can have the 10 second reload. Then after you do as you say, your have to spend anther 50 seconds reloading. DPM is an average. While yes you can jack it up for one minutes, the minute before and after it will be complete crap.

Yes, that's what I'm saying: the continuous fire option is there, and though not really top-tier (not even close curretly), in turn, you have the luxury to switch to and "auto-loader" mode when you please, to dump the whole mag (or part of it) into your enemy, and even after that you wont be left defensless as an auto-loader would be for half a minute. It's a heavy trade-off (and might even be underpowered right know), but you can't have the best of both worls, coz that would be broken.

While I think it needs to consider more than pure DPM, but it does need a change in mechanics. I think it would work best if you didn't cancel the reload, but it immediately slows to the new reload speed AND maybe adds, say for this tank, 2.75 seconds, to the reload timer. That way, if you're 99% reloaded, instead of forcing you to bear through the whole thing you pay for the final shot but not to an unbearable degree.

If you push the 10 second reload down to 9 your dpm is only 2,4000 which is a tiny bit higher then the BC25T but still less then the rest(if playing single shot) and if you up the dmg to 390 your dpm is only 2,340 which again is only a bit higher then the BC25T but still less then the rest of the tier 10 meds so I don’t know but I hope they tune it ever so slightly so that it doesn’t have the worst dpm. Also I’m fully aware that this tank is situational but I still think you won’t see very high damaging games, especially with that horrible 2.75 second “inter clip” reload.

Considering the tank has to be worse than autoloaders and single-shot loaders, here's my suggestions on buffs to keep it that way while not making them better than those tanks. - Upgrade the reload to 9/10.5/12/13.5. This will make it more flexible while still having a longer total magazine reload than the Bat-Chat 25 t. - Decrease the dispersion while turning the turret to 0.12 to make it as the same as the Centurion AX. - Increase the engine power until the tank reaches 19 power-to-weight ratio. They may be small tweaks, but I think they'll really made a difference without causing power creep.

Since shells are color coded anyways AP=red APCR=black HEAT= Yellow HE= Orange , this thank should change ammunitions on the fly. With the ammo indicating which shell is going to be fired by the Color of the indicator, so it should be able to stack up For example. A shell could be ap the next could be HE and the other one could be another AP and last could be Gold ammo.

I think it would be the best if they give all shells in your magazine the same reload time, which is a bit worse than any singleshot tank, but still fast enough to stay competitive even after firing 2-3 shells. But yea... as some people already mentioned, you shouldn't worry to much about the DPM of these tanks. Just think of an autoloader, which is still capable of shooting while reloading its magazine, if you're under pressure for example.

I played it on the test server with standard APCR and I find it plays really well as an autoloader to finish off low health tanks and as a single shot whenever possible. I don't think it is as bad as people say it is. Just a really new play style for us to get used to.

The reloading should be inversed. It should be something like 16-13-10-7. It forces you to either try to max your dpm by having no reserves, or allows you to try to predict enemy moves by reloading more.

Quicky, to be fair in comparing it with the other autoloaders, you need to put the gun rammer on the 65. This is because the other autoloaders cannot use one. That brings its DPM up to almost equal to the TVP, and exceeding the B-C. Also of note is that the ammo capacity of the 65 is far higher than either of the other two autoloaders. That can make a difference in lengthy battles.

I think it would be enough buff if the shell reload does not get cut when you shot. So if you have shot once, you reload in 8, and you wait 6 seconds, but you decide to shot, that 6 seconds are discounted from the next reload, so you will have to wait 12-6=6 seconds to have your third round and then again 8 for your fourth. I think that would be a very important buff.

Honestly Quickybaby,for me this tank is great.it may need some turret amour and some view-range that much i can agree.but the progetto is not about DPM. it about the playstyle and how it can take advantage of situations on the battlefield.it has the ability to capitalize on situation where you can take a hit from another medium tank and return 2x shots. it more of a opportunists tank.

If WG would drop the cancelling of the shell reload, and instead kept it reloading with the extra load time in percentage added to it, would that make it better? Also, if you change ammo, would be nice to load a single shell at reload time of the number of shells loaded. Think that would make the tank much more fun to play and would reward smart use of the shells and ammo type etc.

I feel like they put the delay on for shots the wrong way. It should take longer to load the last shell rather than the first. That way it can be a somewhat lower dpm tank played normally but if you get a pause in the action you can load all the way up to 4 rounds. Gives you some variability to normal play but without being a major hindrance when it comes to switching ammo type etc.

from what i can tell... the Progetto is filling the gap where you have a game where you are not constantly firing (i.e. a close quarters battle) but you may get chances to fire a few shells but then do no want to reload an entire clip (a la BC 25) so it makes more sense to pop two into a tank and wait for the next moment.. it's very much ambush and wait or pick and choose, the main draw back of course being a full clip (which you do not have to wait for the entire thing to reload, leaving you vulnerable the entire time).. so the quiet moments are where the progetto will shine, where dpm counts for nothing.

Thanks for all the effort on this and the videos about the Progetto 46 QB! That was a lot of work out put in and I really appreciate it. Honestly from what I've seen unless they buff either the reload times per shell or time delay between unloading the shells it doesn't stand out as special to me. The entire line looks wildly inconsistent with no central theme too tbh..the few tanks with really bad gun depression for example just stand out to me as odd. I don't think I'll grind this line unless WG decides to do something unique with it because that auto reloading feature really seems worse than the other autoloaders with really long reloads to me.

I have to say, I am an quite skilled player ( being in fame) and I did on the Test-Server an average dmg of nearly 4k on 50 battles even that I got only Tier 10 match ups, I felt really comfortable with this tank.

The thing with DPM is that it only works when you fire constantly. If you played the match in a single-shot tank you would have to constantly fire with the same DPM to reach your max DPM. I guess the advantage of the Progetto is that it varies in DMP according to your playstyle (between very low DPM (single shot) and very high DPM (unloading)) so i guess it would make the most sense to just unload almost whenever you can to acutally get some shots out. The time is gonna come when there isn't an enemy spotted for a while. I think QB was worrying about getting his POTENTIAL DPM as high as possible while his ACTUAL DPM decreased due to not actually shooting at all some times.

2.5s intra-clip, 390 alpha and 40s to fully reload would make it worth playing. Better have a half time reloading time bonus when switch shell types with a full mag.

They just need to not drop the currently reload time. If you waited 5 seconds after the first shell and fire again it should just subtract the current elapsed time of 5 secs from the new 10 second reload.

This tank line is gonna require some skill and will be very rewarding if you manage well. But if you don't get the hang of it, it'll just be a really bad auto loader or a really bad single shot medium. Thus I think it's just the right thing for people like Quickybaby who've been playing for years and are not really getting much of a challenge out of the game. But yes, I agree. It's a bit underpowered and I think it should get some proper frontal hull armor.

I think the key point of this tank is the flexibility by drum which should offer many kinds situation but it simply has few advantages.. i think the drum system should be reworked that you can put different type of shells "APCR , HT, or etc in a single drum. it shouldn't be cancled entire megazine when you change the type of the shell. If not there won't be no flexibility it should have had.

To balance this tank WG must either increase the alpha DMG to 390 or decrease the intra-clip reload to 2s making it better as an autoloader or single shot tank to be really competitive. And definitely change it so you don’t have to reload the whole magazine to change the ammunition type

Its not a trash tank, its a different way of playing a tank. It gives u the advantage over regular autoloaders where if an opponent pulls behind cover and you fired off 2 shots, you will have access to be able to fire while reloading. REGULAR AUTOLOADERS WILL HAVE TO COMMIT. It does have much better mid-to-late game performance sooner than a regular autoloader, aided by the single-shot ability. Overall, its a much slower playstyle of tank, like a support/sniper than a brawler. Just because it isn't meta doesn't mean others can't enjoy it.

They shoud swap the reload time making the single round the fastest to load and the 4th the longest. This way you can play both a normal med or wait longer to get the punch with 4 shots. You could also change tipe of ammo witin 6 and not 14 seconds.

You can still max out view range with the 400m base. Where i see problem with this tank is that its bad autoloader and also bad single shot tank.

I think qb does not understand the tank as long as there is one shell in the magazine then your reload between shots is 2.75 sec so it doesnt matter if you have a full clip or half clip because your loader will be reloading constantly. So if for example you fire 2 shots you dont have to wait ten seconds between them just so the clip is full. All you have to do is never fire all 4 shots together in one salvo and you have a clipper that never runs out of shells and can fire at any moment

I'll sum up the video. DPM Bad. Reload mechanic. Look at this DPM so bad. In all Quickybaby likes DPM. Bad DPM makes quickybaby, the DPM man mad. I think he should play war thunder. The DPM on the machine guns are fantastic.

Can I just say QB that the upper plate is very very good on the Italian tank and it is at the SAME angle as the Strv 103B and also it was easy for me to get to 445+ view range without Coated optics at all and without improved equipment or BIA

Maybe WG should allow you to reload diffent kinds of rounds into the same magazine. Just color code them so you know what kind they are. Then allow the reload key to skip a round if you want to.

The intra clip loading time, as well as the prolonged loading time, the more more empty your clip is, takes all the fun away from playing with an auto-reloader. To add, you have to get through the tier 9 first and that one looks really bad. I'm just gonna stick with the Progetto.

I feel like there are very select situations in which this vehicle can shine but these situations can be completely destroyed based on how you were firing earlier

Well that's the same situation as with the case of AMX M4 mle. 49 and AMX M4 mle. 54. Tier 8 premium is fine, more or less well-balanced heavy tank, and tier 10 has way less armor for it's level. And also tier 8 vehicle that's much worth then tier 8 premium. This is just the same here.

The main advantage this auto-loading mechanism has is that it doesn't require a high dpm. Why? Because it basically can always use it's full dpm. You can unleash all the damage at once: high dpm for some time but you can also go shoot once like other tanks. The thing with super high dpm tanks is that they don't always use their dpm to their fullest potential. How often are you like if only I could load rounds while I'm not using my dpm? That is the advantage over single shot tanks. The advantage over autoloaders is that the Progetto doesn't need to load all the rounds in order to shoot. Making it so it can just shoot once in a while when it has a target, while still being at full capacity after a short time.

Dpm should be around 2600-2800 while in single shot and about 8 seconds full clip reload longer then the t57 heavy

This vehicle would be nice if it wouldn´t unload in a stacked LiFo sequence (Last in First out) but in a queued FiFo sequence (First in First out). This way unloading a shell wouldnt cancel the reload of the next shell. Then it would be a good tank! Edit: To balance that concept a little more it would be adequate to lock the gun until the currently reloading shell has finished reloading.

I never usually feel strong of an opinion to actually comment, but I feel a really nice quality of life change would be to not let the reload be interrupted if you fire a shell. It’s automatically reloading right? Shouldn’t that mean it’ll still finish the reload while a shell is being fired? Just my humble opinion. One shell is going out the barrel and the reloading one is filling in at the back of the rack or something. It’s not like an autoloader where you HAVE to wait for the whole magazine to be reloaded.

I played it for 2 days and it needs a lot of love to be worth getting. I was really looking forward to getting it. But since I've played it. Well I'm not too sure it's even worth getting. Would be better to just buy the premium like I was going to and not bother with the tier 10. It's nice for cleaning up but the reload is very bad for it. I'd rather play the B.C 25t over it. Or even my Centurion AX. The Progetto just doesn't compete like all of the other mediums. 95% of the time you DON'T bounce anything. Or the reload after you fire 2 or 3 shots, it just really let's the Progetto feel like a waste of time. But that's my opinion.

I think Armored Warfare made autoloader in AMX 10 CR better, it has 2 rounds which both load 5s but if you are in middle of loading second shell and fire, it resets reload.

These tanks NEED good gun handling and excellent mobility. Buffs are probably necessary in those departments, since those attributes are what make the Progetto 46 work. That alpha damage and reload time is pretty unreasonable too. If you are already doing 360 damage, just make the top 2 rounds load as fast as a Leopard 1. Basically, with this auto-reloading mechanism, your only advantage is early-game sniping (stationary, stealth, long-range engagements) and late-game killing sprees. It doesn't trade as well as traditional auto-loaders, and it doesn't peek-n-boom as well as single-shot guns. At the beginning of each match, you gotta try to get in position to fire on enemies as they are getting into position. You need to get there first, pace your shots and try to damage+track as much as possible. Mid-game is kind of lackluster with these tanks, since you can't really take initiative. Every opponent does something better than you. You have to follow your allies and let them take the initiative. Late-game is interesting, as you can execute low-health opponents even faster than auto-loaders. You'll need all of your health though, even more so than auto-loaders.
