+Horrible Four ptsht, its a vk 45 b, its as brainless as it gets. You just drive forward. Anyone can do good in this tank. Like the STA-1s name, 'Holdmeclosertonydanzer'. Also the T57 player made some very weird decisions that could/should have cost him the game. Grille last spotted in those arches and he drives up that lane to take an unnecessary shot, then he takes another shot from the Grille 15 even though he still had a platoon mate and they could have been 2v1 against the Grille. So that's 1500 HP he wasted there and then when he's reloading and he sees both enemy are capping he blunders down the road towards the cap and very luckily bounces two shots. The STA-1 bailed him out a lot IMO and I;d reckon the VK guy played a lot better, the T57 player just had the advantage of being in a T57 meaning even if he mucked up he usually had the chance to put in 4 shots against an enemy.
@jurekdekarski23168 жыл бұрын
valid points
@Derploop8 жыл бұрын
Not to mention that Garganchua could have killed him easily if the T28 Prototype hadn't been set on fire. His one real misplay at the end was not wiggling his turret and juking back and forth to throw off the Type 57's aim on his weakspot. Sadly, the increased zooms make small weak spots so very easy to target at close range.

@upsyndrome91668 жыл бұрын
That would be a good idea so if you carry your team but lose you should get some sort of XP/credit bonus
@Bastacat8 жыл бұрын
The issue is that it would encourage camping even more. Granted,the game is built around the idea of camping,but i shed a tear every time i see maus hiding behind a tiny bush thinking he is a stealth bomber,imagine if you didn't have to win to get those high rate medals and amounts of XP/credits...every single player would camp at each of their own sides of the map. In those circumstances games like these would last twice as long,you'd have more draws than wins or losses,it would discourage players from manning up and trying to push them selves,which sometimes can work wonders,instead if you did say 5k+ dmg got 6 kills and all that,but your team is dead and you have 1% hp,it would encourage you to just neak around,drag the game out for as long as possible,and if you are a TD...well,shit. Bunker down and don't move a muscle till timer hits zero.
@Lt_Voss8 жыл бұрын
What if you just got rewards (xp/credits) based on how well you did regardless if it was a win or a loss? As it is now people can have a beast of a game, but if all their performance falls just short of the requirements for any medals, they don't get decent credits and experience. (For example, they carry their team and kill 5 enemy tanks, but because they didn't kill six they still get poor rewards).
@Bastacat8 жыл бұрын
Lt. Voss In that case it's no longer a team play tho,it's basically death match mode,only in tanks. The way it is now,it often times encourages teams to actually work together to some extent,which granted has it's downsides as well,but measuring each player's performance based on their own solo ability and cutting out the rewards and consequences of teamwork would flat out ruin the game. The reality is that more often than not,teams end up on +/- equal sides disregarding the five to maybe 10 percent that are actually being carried. Don't be led into thinking that games such as seen on Jingles channel are frequent occurrence,both the mad and the good ones. So cases such as this are rare and quite distant from each other in occurrence chance. The only thing that they could in reality do,would be to reduce the tier that you can face against to -1/0/+1 instead of -2/-1/0/+1/+2 (assuming it's not a premium tank) because while at lower tiers the difference is rather small,just as at higher (t8/9+),people who are grinding through for example t5-t7 quite often get beyond handicapped,especially when it comes to light TDs,artys,and mediums. But when it comes to rewards and bases on which they are given,i think it's as good as it can get,nowhere near perfect,but for given situation it's the best solution without compromising the idea of teams.

Yeah, the enemy and me were driving a LT and I think full speed too. He came over the ridge and hit me 20-30 meters later. The weird thing is that I watched the replay on my client and it always spotted him at different locations :D
@jurekdekarski23168 жыл бұрын
It seems like the Ensk map has a weird corellation with terribly bad spotting lag. Once I was shooting at a su100y on this map, we were standing right in front of each other at around 30-35 meters range. He reversed behind the corner and disappeared, I stood still so if he pops out again I can finish him. Few seconds later I get shot by a vidmo and after my tank blew up the su100y got spotted, standing exactly in the same place... It was so fucking ridiculous that I took a few weeks break from the game.

That cloaked light tank is something that's been happening a lot lately, I've had heavy tanks drive half way across my screen from left to right before they have rendered, I have had tanks pull out, aim, fire and pull back before they have rendered, all since the last two or three patches. At first I thought it was just me, but my entire Clan is having this issue :/ Also that cloaked tier 7 light in a tier 10 match is somehow fucking fair? It's not even a map where you can rack up spotting damage. That tank was literally useless through no fault of his own.

I think the STA-1 deserved more credit for that win. He led the enemy team on a wild goose chase that made the Vk turn sideways on allowing the T57 heavy to get a shot into the Vk's side. Then when he came back to help the T57 Heavy he saved his life by eliminating the T28 Prototype and distracting the Vk again. Also, he took the Vk's shot so that the T57 Heavy could win the match. That is a team player.

I've found the maximum effective thickness can be achieved when the gun is pointing directly over one of the frontal drive wheels. slightly less when prammo is being spammed. Honestly the first reference that came to my mind was the arena from Mad Max ("two may enter, one may leave") and only a moment later I realised it was a quote from Highlander :P

Take a quick jog, smoke some weed, drink water, take a pee, listen to music for 15 minutes and you gonna fall asleep like a baby.

The cloaking devices will be no more soon(ish) apparently next patch is going to not just nerf it,but blow it out of existance. Was watching a WG WoT video where they demonstrated a light tank (chaffee i think) gunning between two buildings before and after the patch,the difference was huge,normally it would get spotted around midway through,with the patch the thing got spotted the moment part of his track was in view.

I think "garganchua" is supposed to be a word play on the Chinese name "Chua". The meaning of that name is along the lines of "patience". A perfect name for somebody in a huge slow tanky tank, huh?
