This massive greatsword was originally wielded by Sargeras while he was a member of the Titan Pantheon. When Sargeras fell to his madness, Gorshalach, being semi-sentient, sundered itself into two 'Shatterbound pieces' to prevent the fallen Titan from wielding it. One fragment was claimed by Sargeras and reforged into Gorribal, while the other was claimed by Aggramar and reforged into Taeshalach. If both fragments are ever possessed by a non-evil being, they can be combined to reform Gorshalach. - wowwiki.fandom.com/wiki/Gorshalach Azeroth could be the "non-evil being" to reforge Gorshalach.

World of peacecraft. Blizzard have consistently made your character one that is doing nothing but trying to create peace. It's so sad because there were so many opportunities to make the game what the fans actually wanted; Garrosh restored honour to the Horde and made people want to play as bad ass orcs before they made him arthas v.2.0 with the corruption nonsense - it could have been a sensible restart to the war, but for purposes of honour and resources as opposed to mindless hatred which would still allow the Horde to be somewhat sympathetic (as someone who used to main an orc, they really do not need to be entirely sympathetic and blameless; most of our playerbase was fine with being hot-headed warmongers). Then they had the whole Broken Shore battle giving Anduin, Genn and Jaina a reason to never trust the Horde again; considering all the crap that goes on in Legion with the 'Light' they could have led Anduin go down a path where he seeks 'balance' (cheesy I know) instead of just the light, and basically had him wage a campaign of retribution - it would have been nice to see the Alliance being the warmongers for once and would have made Anduin a far more interesting character. And then in this, with all the Sylvanas stuff (Arthas v.3.0), they could have really had the war heat up (and initially they did, those battlefronts were actually pretty decent and made the game feel like Warcraft again); but then they forced our character to be a hippy Azeroth-vein-hugger and seek to make fwiends with the opposite faction. Let's face it: The game would have been far better if we could have played as a Kor'kron champion of Garrosh, or if we could have played a blood-crazed 'shadow-eyed' Night Elf waging a campaign of terror as vengeance for the burning of Nordrassil, or if we could have played as a Twilight cultist infiltrating and corrupting the doomed cities of Azeroth. There were so many interesting and epic stories that they could have told, but instead we were made to be a generic peace-seeking member of the Alliance/Horde with no extra nuance (except it was hammered home that we weren't just some random who could have been up to ANYTHING in their spare time; we were the champion with this specific personality that we had no say in). It was fine when the game first came out and our player-character's impact on the lore was minimal and thus we could role-play more or less as whatever we wanted to; but now they are forcing us down certain paths that have taken all the 'role playing' options out of this MMORPG. This game never ceases to piss me off as all of their broad-stories have such promise for interesting side quests and characters, but they are NEVER expanded upon and we NEVER get to see any of it; and then a few months later all the big-bads are dead and all that potential is gone forever.
@Misierbobo4 жыл бұрын
@@HaggisOfDeath Great points. BFA could have had a great story if the Alliance were the aggressors for once. Let's face it they've had more than enough justification to act preemptively. Aggression isn't necessarily a bad thing, and such story would have been perfect the show nuances of grey on both sides. Instead Horde was the villain again, made to lose the war again and in the rare instances they won a few battles, they were made to feel bad about it. BFA literally punished players who chose Horde years ago. Besides characters like Baine ans Saurfang who switched sides when convenient are poor examples for the Horde. A proper representation of a Horde character (though misguided) was Nazgrim.

I stopped playing in wrath but i always kept up with the current story, all I have to say is that it's a little sad. It feels like the horde has lost all of its original leaders, all that's left is Thrall... I remember when the horde was once a cool faction that maybe wasn't always good, but was never evil. While on the other hand the alliance never loses anyone, they lost Varian sure, but we lost like, everyone.
@jasperzanovich25044 жыл бұрын
You mean you "lost" like all 4 of them? Sylvannas and Thrall are still very much alive. Varian is very much Dead and you should still know the crystal dwarf as the King of the Dwarfs. The Alliance leaders just don't die, they instead turn neutral. Overall the horde just has more story development and therefore more mayor characters get added and removed. While the horde characters end up as raid bosses their alliance counterpart gets deleted offscreen.
@nathaniellindsey7064 жыл бұрын
@@jasperzanovich2504 Well I mean Thrall isn't even warchief anymore and to be honest kind of just ran off, Cairne died, Vol'jin died, Sylvanas went off to be a major antagonist, so right there the original 4 aren't even there, and Lor'themar is still chilling at least. Now on the alliance side Varian did die, and then the gnome dude is still around, and the night elf leaders are also still around. It's not so much that i'm saying that Horde leaders don't get a lot of focus, they do. And I think way more than alliance leaders, but I feel like building up emotion and character and then killing them off is a really poor way to move a story foward. Ya know? It's like killing someone off to make the plot go forward, it's just bad writing. Varian dying led to Anduin becoming leader of the alliance, that's a dope move. But Thrall leaving to go do shaman things, leads to freaking Garrosh killing Cairne, and then he has to die, and then vol'jin has to take his place, for then him to die, so then sylvanas could take his place, so then she could go rogue. Ya see the pattern here? The Horde plot advancement is kind of just stepping off another character dying over and over.

@vi56924 жыл бұрын
VladTutushkin yeah, I know, but those leaders are gone now, that moose man is in charge of the horde now and he’s grand! The way I see it, a lot of people in the alliance just can’t separate the terrible leader from his/her people. Genn and Tyrande want revenge for things that Sylvanas has done, and now that she’s public enemy numero uno they shouldn’t have any trouble getting support to fight her but nooo iT’s ThE hOrDe In GeNeRaL tHeY nEeD tO wAtCh OuT fOr. Another example is Jaina, she wanted revenge for Garrosh’ war crimes, which he has admittedly committed many of, and then when elves in dalaran help the fucker she goes straight to purging the entire city of most of the blood elves, a lot of whom probably didn’t even know what the fuck was going on lol. What I’m trying to say is that I think the Horde is in a really good place right and as long as Genn and Tyrande doesn’t do anything stupid, we should be able to just have peace for at least a couple years.
@MrVlad123404 жыл бұрын
@ • VI • horde still havent payed ANY reparations for a genocide, still haven’t withdrawn from Ashenvale, still havent settled any of the disputes territorial or otherwise that rose during or after this war. Like - what about Gilneas? What about Ashenvale? Who will be guaranteeing that horde will not just spit on all agreements like they did with the deal they had with night elfs post-MoP? Basically they just want everybody to forgive and forget but also to keep all they took during the war. Its a very shitty position if you really want peace. Plus according to Saurfang himself and to Lor’Themar MOST or the horde supported Banshee till the end. MAJORITY of the people were glad to exterminate Alliance races under flimsiest pretexts. Which btw is downright damning. They didnt even tried to establish communication with night elfs for example - Thrall came to Hyjal to fucken demand favours in dealing with his shamanic-disfunction for gods sake and apologised for horde’s actions only when he realised that he might be going too far with demanding anything from people his faction almost wiped out. Plus sylvanas loyalists are still all over Orgrimmar and nobody even checks if they changed their mind for real or not - spoiler, they didnt.
@VulpesChama4 жыл бұрын
@@MrVlad12340 Actually those loyalists are getting checked and harassed. And, funny enough, the Blood Knights are now securing the peace in Ogrimmar, and are actively seeking out remaining loyalists who even now remain loyal to Sylvanas. Reparations for a genocide. So, let´s talk about Orc-camps and Orc children being raised as pit fighters for the entertainment of the Lordearon-Alliance population, of which Stormwind was a part of. Or let´s talk about Garithos, the man who hated the elves enough, so that many Bloodelves are unlikely to really trust either humans or the Alliance again. (Not even talking about Jaina preventing the re-entry of the Bloodelves into the Alliance by prematurely starting a civil war in Dalaran out of anger.) In all seriousness, peace cannot be achieved the way you describe it. Who is paying for the damage the Alliance did to Zandalar? What about that Invasion of the Barrens during Cataclysm, in which the Alliance sacked villages and helped an extremist group take violently control of Thunderbluff. Or the unprovoked attack on Durotar by Kul Tiras. Peace is achieved by letting the past rest, without forgetting it, but for the sake of the future thirst for revenge must be left behind. Varian, in his later years, knew that. Thing is, you cannot blame a whole race for a war and demand justice from every single one. If you do that, you will just find more war. On the other side, if you do that, you are likely to want war. Just as Tyrande and Genn. They want war. For their own personal sake. Not because it is the right thing to do, but because they want revenge. Alliance has never been more naive than now. But not because of Anduin. Anduin is right here. Genn may take time, but he will come to his senses, he is, despite his losses, neither stupid nor bitter. Quite impressive actually. But Tyrande, she might lost beyond redemption. She has every right to be angry, hateful. But she is putting the safety of her people at risk. She is not acting like a leader here, she is acting like a warrior, who is seeking a fight. Also, if the Alliance would get Ashenvale back, would the Alliance give back half of Arathi to the Orcs? Or will the Stormpike clan finally stop trying to take Alterac from the Frostwolves (who actually have been the first to settle there. Yes, the Dwarves are the aggressors in that scenario)? It´s way to easy to list the mistakes of the opposing faction. The Horde is aware of their past mistakes, the Alliance is mostly not. That makes the Alliance dangerous.
@MrVlad123404 жыл бұрын
@Der Schurkinist what a pile of rubbish... Well, lets disassemble it, shall we? 1) There was only ONE camp that had pit fighting, one directly under Blackmoore who was testing the waters for possible orcish army to take over Alliance and hence his experiments with “re-starting” orc’s famous bloodlust and battle ability. Plus Stormwind had least stake in camps because they were broke at the moment and for the most part just a “honorary member” of the Alliance due to how wrecked they were by the orcs. Plus camps were not unprovoked and not as severe as what orca did to Stormwind and humans in First War and to night elfs in War of Thorns. 2) Garithos was not officially approved by Alliance and self-promoted as a post-apocalyptic warlord of Lordaeron. And besides, his family got killed by orcs because high elfs couldnt be bothered to go save the human settlement while he and other knights of Lordaeron were fighting to protect Quel’Thalas. Which obviously put a chip on his shoulder. 3) Wars dont end like this - you dont just go away from it. You cant demand justice from every PERSON but you can and should demand justice from GOVERNMENT. There must be a legal process , both sides negotiate and make concessions or reparations or just establish borders and such. Not just declare that war is over and somehow hope that it will all sort itself out. 4) No, Anduin is painfully naive. He thinks peace will maintain itself without solving any problems that led to previous wars. And thats besides the point of OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of horde supporting sylvanas which means that they will join any next dictator/usurper/jumped up rabble rouser when chance comes their way. 5) Ashenvale already officially belongs to night elfs. They gave you whole Azshara zone for it, withdrawing all claims on it after MoP. That was the deal, and horde was quite fine with that. If they oh so honorable now they should remember the fucken deals they signed with night elfs and piss off from Ashenvale. 6) You must be spectacularly... simple to think that unavenged genocide perpetrated by unrepentant nation will be easy to forgive and “move on”. Westerners are spoiled by prosperity and peace, you never faced the horrors of relentless enemy barging into your land and scorching your populace in millions. Never in your history an army marched through your cities leaving only death behind. Sadly my people suffered that more then enough. You will never understand the sheer pain and bitter hatred that leaves in one’s heart, even after wars are over and enemies long defeated and gone. P.S. Jaina and Anduin helped liberate Thunderbluff, not to take over it. Anduin gave Baine the Fearbreaker and Jaina donated huge sum of gold to buy goblin zeppelins to carry on the attack.

Even if Sylvanas failed her goal with the Jailer and on paper the Horde lost, they still were successful in dividing the leaders of the Alliance, particularly Gilneas and the night elves.
@topnotchshinobi2 жыл бұрын
And there's a bit of nuance for that division too! Even though Genn defied Anduin to help Tyrande retake Darkshore (and in general, shares Tyrande's fierce antagonism/distrust towards the Horde), he's still on very good terms with Anduin (and treats him like a surrogate son). In contrast, by the time of Shadows Rising, Tyrande and Malfurion have become angry enough towards Anduin to ignore all his correspondence (which starkly contrasts the warmer coworker/co-leader relationship that Anduin and Tyrande had during the Elegy novella).

Genn and Tyrande are completely right. The Horde has started 5 separate wars in the span of a single generation. It's not the leader that's the issue; it's the fact that the union largely consists out of primitive savages and bloodthirsty warmongers. A sensible Alliance would have wiped them off the face of Azeroth by now.
@razien99414 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah cause the alliance could do that any time they wanted. Dude garrosh by himself was a huge threat to a horde alliance combo. More like the opposte. And i guess you think that because a member of the horde did something wrong that means every1 is bad. It doesnt work like that. In that sense when garithosbwas treating belfs like pieces of shit then that means that the alliance was treating them the same way right ? Well no
@LihoShammy4 жыл бұрын
@@razien9941 Garrosh himself was only a threat after taking in an Old God's power. Compare this to Jaina, who has the power to completely destroy Orgrimmar all by herself, and only didn't because she was convinced not to. Additionally, the Horde has lost every single major conflict since the First War for two reasons: their poor resource management inevitably leads to attrition, and their two biggest components (the Orcs and the Forsaken) are too volatile to maintain a long-term conflict without devolving into infighting. This is why the Alliance has won every single war since, and they've already had two opportunities to completely dismantle the Horde's leadership: during the Battle for the Undercity, and after Garrosh's defeat in Orgrimmar. The first time they only failed because Jaina stopped the fight, and the second time Varian only allowed the Horde to exist at his mercy. And lastly, keep in mind that Garrosh had the majority support of the Orcs, and Sylvanas had the majority support of the Forsaken. Both of these are the biggest races in the Horde, and both of these supported volatile warmongers. Garithos however was despised even by his own men. That's why the Scarlet Crusade does not revere him.

@@LihoShammy alliance couldnt do shit without the aid if the horde against garrosh . It was the combine effort that finally defeated garrosh and his army. And atrue horde was too much even for that alliance. Thats what i meant by calling him a huge threat. Now about Sylvanas its clear that the horde could defeat the alliance. The problem with sylvanas is that her tactics are more then enough to win the war but they are ruthless which is why many other horde leaders were hesitating to even follow her. Bfa prepatch is a good example of that. She outsmarted the alliance to send ships to silithus but she was actually going for the night elves. We all saw how devastating it was for the alliance. Again another example of how sylvanas is way ahead then all the rest combined. She had the brains resourcesand especially the power to easily win the problem is if the rest of the horde wants to follow. Non of other horde leaders are even capable of leading the horde in the war in the same way except maybe lorthemar or thrall . All the others are all unexperienced as far as war tactics and stuff

@@razien9941 The Alliance couldn't beat Garrosh without the aid of the Horde, but that was only after Garrosh had taken in Y'shaarj's energy. Before that, Garrosh literally had to resort to using the Blood Elves for slave labor in order to keep up with the Alliance. Pre-Y'shaarj Garrosh wasn't nearly as much of a threat as you believe, in fact he probably did more harm to the Horde than the Alliance. As for Sylvanas, even though she burnt down Teldrassil, beating the Night Elves was a massive undertaking that cost her lots of planning and manpower. Compare that to the Alliance's counterattack on the Undercity, which the Alliance had much less time to plan and organize for, yet they still beat the Horde to the point where Sylvanas had to literally nuke her own capital city with the Plague in order to drive the Alliance out. And to make matters worse for the Horde, the Undercity was the Horde's primary staging area in the Eastern Kingdoms, since it was the capital city of the second largest race of the Horde. Now they are left with only Silvermoon, which to this day remains broken and sparsely populated due to the Blood Elves' small numbers. Teldrassil on the other hand was the capital city of only a small amount of the Alliance population, even if you factor in that both Night Elves and Worgen lived there, since the Humans and Dwarves make up the majority of the Alliance. And while you could make the argument that the Exodar is just as broken and sparsely populated as Silvermoon is, the Exodar is also the home of Velen, who is not only one of the strongest individuals on Azeroth, but is quite possibly the strongest counter to Sylvanas and the Forsaken the Alliance has. In other words, in the grand scheme of things the Horde suffered a much greater blow losing the Undercity than the Alliance did losing Teldrassil, and it took the Alliance much less effort to claim the Undercity than it took the Horde to burn down Teldrassil. This once again underlines the core problem that the Horde has faced in every war; the Horde succeeds early because they overextend, but this causes them to suffer greater losses than they inflict, causing them to ultimately lose the war thanks to attrition and infighting.

@@LihoShammy Sylvanas needed alot of time and preparation because she always plans way ahead. The army of the alliance during the undercity battle was impressive but not as much as you think cause guess what. They literally brought anything and went all out. And dont forget that if it wasnt for jaina sylvanas would have killed anduin genn and alleria at once. Sylvanas literally had plans within plans. I'm so glad that Tyrande wasn't eating that peace bullhit. As Varian said at the end of the MOP, "if your hord fails to uphold honor as Garrosh did, we will end you." I guess the Alliance forgot about that. Horde is keep failing and failing and no one cares. xD This whole Warcraft story is getting shittier and shittier every expansion.
@user-vr8ve6rt9c4 жыл бұрын
It wasn't the entire Horde's fault. It was the people in the position of leadership that they were in that caused it to happen. The whole reasoning behind the Horde's actions are from it's leaders being megalomaniacs such as Garrosh and Sylvanas. Plus Varian isn't really a reliable one to talk about honor since he has had more overreactions towards the Horde when they were peaceful. Also the Alliance was without honor themselves at times if anything this goes both ways.
