It's an amazing cinematic, the voice acting is absolutely sublime and playing this through as an Alliance main inspired me to keep playing for the Horde... But I still find it kind of difficult to believe that Alleria, a general with thousands of years of experience, and Genn, who trusts Sylvanas as far as he can throw Jaina's ship, fall into this trap... Anduin is inexperienced and Jaina, maybe Jaina's behaviour was an attempt at brokering some sort of peace, but it does just kind of feel like the writers had 'Sylvanas sits on Terenas's throne and Anduin behaves like Arthas' and went with that.

This in the outcome of the Battle for Lordaeron. Knowning what happened in the end is obviously a spoiler. Sylvanas could have killed someone else, she could have gone to prison, etc. It affects some people because they like to hype themselves up and play through things. People have different sensibilities. Most of all, if something like this is pulled OUT of the game, it's a spoiler. Anything that tells you the story before the person reads, watches or plays it, is a spoiler. You may not think it would affect things much, I personally don't care much about it, but it needs to be respected and makes complete sense. Knowing only just a few things ahead can emotionally ruin the whole build up to that moment.

Traditional Horde values is basically what she did! Play the original games! One & Two! The Horde broke the Azeroth army, sacked Stormwind and KILLED EVERYONE in it! Lothar lead the survivors across the sea to the High Elve's, (who the alliance betrayed) and Dwarves and the Lordaeron Kingdom to unite them into THE Alliance. Traditional Horde is Kill the enemy. The Horde changed under Thrall. Sylvanas took the Horde back to a more...traditional Horde. A true successor to Blackrock.

To be honest in Warcraft there is no one else who pissed Arthas more than Sylvanas did :D And about her contribution to war effort... Go play Warcraft 3 with Frozen Throne, you'll understand. She kicked Scourge out of Lordaeron, almost killed Arthas and destroyed his bases in Eastern Kingdoms. After that only parts of Plaguelands was in hands of Scourge. So she did virtually everything (combined with some alli forces and BElf forces) in pre-WOTLK.

It could very well come up in the story soon. Alleria is now saturated and one with void energy, and Sylvanas is effectively all about death energy/magic at this point. Supposedly, the void and death as forms of energy or magical schools are highly opposed to each other and will be in severe conflict eventually. So the relationship between Alleria and Sylvanas could be a point of focus on a symbolic, personal and functional level all at the same time.

I don't get all the Sylvanas hate. She's cool and despite being coldhearted and manipulative she does it to win the war and protect the Horde. It's natural that she won't like the Alliance, she's on the other side of the war and her own friends abandoned her and thought of her as an abomination simply because she was turned forsaken in their light obsessed eyes. Anyone in her situation would be bitter. It's clear that she cares enough about the Horde or else she wouldn't be going this far to win. Some people say that she's evil because of Teldrassil and others think that she's dishonourable but to talk about that first accusation. After years of the Alliance attacking her people and land and trying to wipe out the Blood Elves and Forsaken who is actually surprised that years of attacking results in a retaliation? That second claim can be refuted with a line of dialogue that happens directly before this cinematic "Honour means nothing to a corpse, Saurfang. Maybe you don't care if your people die so long as it's honourable but to me, this Horde is worth saving." She doesn't care about honour because it doesn't matter in the long run, if you still die you'd want to die having gotten your job done instead of dying pure but having let the world burn around you to keep yourself from losing the precious honour so many people love.

Yeah, they are using Warbringers to bring more movies into the game, using the comic style. This way they can give a more memorable presentation of key plots in the game's storyline. It was done up to Legion from a background exploration of what took place (right) before the current expansion content, and then already started adding them to the game even with a quest for the illidari one. After Sylvanas being the reveal for a major plotline, we can now expect these movies to keep telling us about why we're doing what we're doing in game (the background), but also contain reveals that are aligned with how the story is developing in game

Calling it now. When Sylvanas gets beaten in her raid, she'll wish for a clean death and Anduin is gonna give her a merciful death, somehow giving her undead soul salvation rather than ending up in the Maw. So far it seems like they're making Anduin into the opposite Arthas had become.
