I left this bird in the hangar with Akira. But made an accent on speed first, then maneuverability. I think it is already good enough in turning, but the speed is not enough. Rate of fire is enormous. Love this aircraft. Nickname: Singorn.

That is a valid approach. That said, you can see that my build does not entirely ignore the speed effect and, one day, I may play the plane with a full speed build to see how it performs.

@@TheNobleQ - Oh I've been here my friend. I watch and share every video you post. My life has been very full taking care of my health, with filtering through, "Doctors", who merely want to throw medications at me that have nasty side effects. I refer to them as drug dealers with white coats on. Medications have their place, but they don't correct the root cause of the problem they're band-aiding. I recently learned that an antibiotic, used to combat an infection, destroys your good gut bacteria for up to a *year*. One medication they wanted me to take had *three pages of listed side effects*. Horrendous. Then we have Russia and China pushing for W.W.III and let's face it, that has already begun. In the U.S., I feel our national infrastructure has been under attack for over a year now. During that time over 100 food processing centers have been burned to the ground. There have been mysterious train derailments, one after another, with resulting horrific chemical spills, explosions at nuclear power plants with radiation leaks. Just a few days ago a cattle ranch in Texas blew up and killed over *18,000 cattle*. The monetary loss that rancher suffered has to be horrendous and might put them out of business. Chickens have been fed contaminated feed with the result being they are not laying eggs anymore and so egg prices are going through the roof. There have been electric sub-stations shot up with high powered rifles, knocking out the power. All this and not one reported arrest. *Not one*. All this and the, "administration", in this country has not activated the National Guard or the U.S. Army to guard critical national infrastructure. It should not take a rocket scientist to see what is going on, yet *nothing is done*. China sends a spy balloon all across the entire country, right over sensitive military installations, yet it's not shot down until its mission was complete and it traveled from one coast to the other, not being shot down until it was over the Atlantic Ocean! The excuse from a U.S. Air Force General testifying to Congress was, "they were watching it closely", and they did not want to shoot down the Chinese spy balloon until it reached the Atlantic Ocean because of possible, "collateral damage", caused by the balloon! I about jumped out of my chair! That spy balloon was first detected over the Pacific Ocean! Hmm...if they had shot it down then, my gosh it might have killed a Sea Gull! Gasp! Then it traveled over Alaska and Canada, where if it was shot down then, it might have killed a Moose! The horror! If a Chinese bomber armed with nuclear bombs flew over the U.S., would they not shoot it down for fear of, "collateral damage"?! If I were the *real* President, I'd of had that General brought up on charges of dereliction of duty! If we are not going to use our military to defend our country, then what is it for?! Then in Ukraine, Putin and his thugs are getting their butts kicked because of weapons from the U.S., England and other Western countries, (W.W.III), and justifiably so. The U.S. has sent M1 Abrams tanks and your country has sent the wonderful Challenger tanks. That by itself is a huge game changer. Putin is running out of tanks and his thugs, (I refuse to call anyone who rapes women, kills innocent civilians, including children, and leaving their bodies in the streets, etc, a "soldier"!), are suffering heavy casualties. The news has reported that Putin's response has been to send nuclear weapons into neighboring Belarus. This situation is not looking good at all and could get much worse at any moment. Ever since the 2020, "election", where Pres.Trump was, "voted out", under very suspicious and sketchy circumstances, the world has gone to hell. The power mad, ultra rich freaks of the World Economic Forum, who are *not elected by anyone in the world*, just announced that they are, "ordering", countries to begin limiting water supplies to their citizens! Just who do these monsters think they are?! What right do they think they have to tell everyone else in the world how to live?! I feel they should be designated a terrorist organization and dealt with accordingly, as they are indeed spreading terror throughout the world! I could go on. Life is not very much fun right now and I don't see it getting better, but getting worse, as the #1 selling book in the history of the world, (the Bible), tells us in the chapter of Revelation. Many things are happening that are all listed in that 28 page chapter. If you have a Bible, I can strongly encourage you to read the chapter of Revelation and see for yourself. If not, you can find it online searching Keywords, Bible, Revelation. You are a uniquely intelligent gentleman with a bright intellect. I have not often come across someone like you. I would greatly enjoy corresponding with you via e-mail. I think we can learn a lot from each other. :) Forum's such as this, or Twitch etc., don't cut the mustard. You can open a free and secure e-mail account with Proton e-mail. You can search the Internet and find it. They are based in Switzerland, where they have very strict privacy laws. That's a good point. So, with a standard ultimate-level wing frame, uncalibrated, and similarly a lightweight power unit, keeping everything else the same, the manoeuvrability rating is 117. With calibration, that would get to the 119 and perhaps a little more.

@@SgtZak_ Well, purely on an aesthetic basis, the original Akira Akane image was preferable. If you suspect the "whitening" was for, shall we say, "cultural" reasons, then the reworking of the image becomes unwelcome.

@TheNobleQ - In your opinion, is this plane much different than the tier V premium A6M3 (exp.) Zero, aside from the gun differences? Also, when I bought the A6M3 (exp.), years back, it came with a special camouflage paint scheme, which it now does not have. What do you think is going on there? I sent in a ticket about this and they claim such a paint scheme did not exist. It clearly did as there are even videos showing it.

Allowing for some tier-related beefing up for the A6M5, apart from the guns they are pretty much the same. Can you provide a link to a video showing the missing paint scheme? I have a 20% crew experience "tiger skin pattern" camouflage, but I'm not sure that is the one you mean.

@@TheNobleQ - Search KZbin for this video ; "World of Warplanes - A6M3 (exp): The Strength of a Samurai". That's the camouflage paint scheme my A6M3 (exp.), had when I bought it from the Premium Shop. Now it doesn't have it. I don't know what they did, but I feel robbed.

@@HiTechOilCo Yes, it looks like it was removed in version 2 of the game. That's a shame, because it's a fine-looking camouflage.

@@TheNobleQ - Well I stumbled across what they did. They removed the camouflage paint scheme from the plane for some reason and moved it to my Paint Shop as an, "Awarded paint scheme", that I can choose to select. I wonder why they would do that?

I hope you enjoy your journey through the game! Unfortunately, the existing special pilots you will probably have to buy - or not, of course - when they come up in shop bundles occasionally. Any new pilots are normally obtained by completing a chain of combat missions, a "mission marathon".

Elise Clark is a good one, the three Valkyries (Mary Lovehart, Marina Litvyakova, Charlotte von Staufen) are versatile because they can transfer both their special skills, Millie Elliot is useful, Charles Donovan is essential for the Spitfire Ia, the others are less potent and probably best used in their designated plane.

The problem of this plane (as with most turnfighters) that any sensible opponent will not play your game of turning. With this plane you have no real chance to dictate the engagement. You can still effectively hunt ADAs and bots, but a human opponent will simply murder you in most cases.

@@TheNobleQ I have just tested Rei's "tank build". I must say that it is a really interesting one. Instead of LWF & LPU, I put reinforced airframe + uprated engine. This gives the plane very good durability and good speed (cruising at 500 kph). Of course this build is only viable if you have Akira. Her insane A6M5 Master skill gives enough maneuverability buff, even if you do not use any maneuverability equipment. Sure you can buff your maneuverability to 126, but for what purpose? Even if you have only 102 (like mine right now) you will still outmaneuver every other plane, apart from an other A6M5. Having 500 kph cruising speed and +20% more HP (+extra fire resistance) give this plane more flexibility, at least for me.

It's a difference in philosophical approach. As I've said in this video and others, I dislike "wasting" pilot skill points on the fire fighter and fire resistance skills. Others will not mind in the way that I do.

I'm not a pilot, so I can't answer that question well. However, I suppose real pilots might be aware of some manoeuvres they could try in the game that us earthbound players are not.
