This is a review of the tier 10 American tech tree multirole fighter, the Chance-Vought F7U Cutlass. This has long been an exasperating aircraft for me to play, both because of difficulties I have with the guns and the squeezing of its niche by overpowered bombers. That's a cool build. I'm close to specializing the Cutlass and I'll try it. I would have been wary of it without knowing the accuracy of the guns as I've tried it with F6U and XF-90 and they did need the gunsight to be consistent for me.

I may try it with long gun barrels, not because I want the extra range on the guns, but because it doesn't affect accuracy. Of course, that would mean tighter management of the overheat/cooling cycle. I think this is an interesting build. Stealth and vision aren't much employed in WoWp, so far as I can tell, but it seems to work pretty well here.

Hi Sir Q! This is very helpful for me since I’m getting close to specializing my F7U, very insightful! You occasionally mention that the G-Suit characteristics are uncertain or not published but I’m wondering what you think of it? Do you use one anywhere? Do you think it does any good? I use one on FJ-1, F-86A, F7U, and probably will on my Me 262 HG II and MiG-15bis.. when I eventually get those two. Just curious if it’s a total waste, or of some benefit. Thank you for this analysis!

I hope I've given you some good ideas for the F7U! I don't often use a G-Suit, but I have experimented with it, most notably on the XF-90. It's hard to "feel" it working, but - for other readers who may not know - a good rule of thumb is when your speed indicator turns yellow, it should be in effect. In short, if the guns are accurate enough (I'm not sure using one on the Me 262 HG II is going to work, with that in mind) and you configure the plane for fast flight at all times, this piece of equipment is worth considering. For example, I'm now wondering about using it on a F6U Pirate or even a F-94D Starfire.

To use the term the WoWp published, "this was caused by an issue outside our control, an unexpected malfunction". They have nearly fixed everything now.

There is no aircraft what has neither outstanding superiority nor inferiority as F7U in tier 10. Both superiority and inferiority of F7U is variable depending on equipment and skills. That's why F7U reveals player's tendency well. Because all types of aircraft are properly mixed. in other words player who wants high performance with F7U must have high level of understanding all types. If not, players use just a few parts of that. Despite difficulty I metioned above, F7U worth to play because F7U performs coming true the settings what player intended. And someone who masters that perfectly will be the Legendary. I ensure.

It's a pleasure to see you here, Kaim. I agree with you; in a sense, the Cutlass is a true player's plane. If you have the skills, you can do well in it. If you do not, you will not. Clearly, I need to continue working on the plane!

I think you wanted to say FW-252 instead of the HGIII at the beginning of the video around 0:40, when mentioning the worse tier 10s. So the Cutlass us definitely not one of them, sorry to disagree. The actual worst ones are the above-mentioned FW 252, the BV.P. 215 and the Ki-162.
