the reason the sub torps didnt kill him is because there was a submarine rework. there is a 3km arming range. so i believe the damage up to 3km is 10% of the original damage. when it is past 3km, the torps are armed and does full damage. I think it was done to stop shotgunning people. (Edit: thr fact the legend that is Jingles has learnt from, ironically, a totally average potato at WOWS, gives me happiness)

Damage is 10% up to 2.9km, then it "gradually" ramps up to 100% at 3.0km. Same mechanics apply to new French DDs line, but in their case 100% damage will be from 6km.

This also allows you to bring hell on submarines once they got spotted in 8-7km range. Depth charge the sh*t out of them once you spot them or got surveillanced.

All of you need to go play Cold Waters. :) All you need is one Mark 48 to lock on to you because you fired at a target too close :). no such thing as a friendly missile or torpedo. Now, I just had a cold, cold thought. Leave it to WG to come up with real homing torpedoes...

Shout-out to that Patrie. So many low-health ships just throw themselves at the enemy to try and eke out a bit more damage and XP. It's nice to see someone actually think of the team, and NOT throw away points that could lead to a win. So, super great to see someone who can think and breathe at the same time.

As a side note. Ships going "AFK" are not necessarily deliberate actions by the player. I, myself, have been disconnected from games from the server end or had my game client crash.

Textbook Shima play and a fantastic team effort with a well deserved win. .... As for the Delny...I will, as someone who has suffered some nasty computer crashes (later found to be a faulty video card) while in a battle, suggest that we shouldn't jump to conclusions as to why the person is AFK. In my case there was a desperate scramble to re-start the computer and log back in before the battle ended.... it took a good 3-5 minutes on my old beasty. Some of us can't afford the good kit :-). Love these videos Jingle!

I'm not 100% certain about this, but disconnected players will have their gun turrets returned to the neutral position. In this case, the Delny's turrets are still pointed to port, so he most likely just walked away from the keyboard.

It's hilarious to me that WG staff claim that the toxicity problems in game are driven by the players...meanwhile, their own staff and volunteers behave in AWFUL ways. Then they are surprised when people call them out on the bullS.

23:30 actually jingles, the Groningen threw away his ship there. First he got caught by Salem's radar and secondly he was on the enemy's side of the map. He could have easily capped Bravo by being close to Alpha rather he continued his push towards Charlie.

16:55 jingles, there was a recent update to where sub torpedoes do only 10% dmg when the target is under 3km range. That’s why the sub failed to kill the shimakaze

I don't know why these episodes are still not getting old. The Rear Admiral keeps pumping out bangers. Waiting for the Game of Throws where some of his bowel cells fuck up their attempt to end the Old Man and try winning harder, just to lose in the end. All they had to do was stay hidden smh😒

Good News Jingles! After understanding the basics of the game, I allways thought:" Man that`s going to be tuff - learning all those ship stats - who has got Hydro, Radar, Torps,... You don`t have to do that anymore! Just Press Tab and hover over the ships and you get all the basic infos... =) And: Glad your recovering so well! Getting a Thumbs up every day from me!

Does WOWS not have an inbuilt checker? MK (russia. Wows) has it inbuilt into tje client so at any time you can check what a ship has... including torps and damage etc

the teamlist shows ranges, speed, HP and consumable options nowadays. A good addition for DD players, as googling it all the time can be pretty disrupting.

Black's radar is a non-changable feature so it comes standard on the destroyer. However, you will have to choose speed boost or smoke. So, Yes. Black is a Radar Destroyer with a short duration and 7.5KM radar. The torpedo damage mechanic changed last patch to where if youre within shotgun range, They do little to no damage at all. so the shot gunning days are over.

Jingles using all of his deductive reasoning skills to confirm that the Shimakaze's is using the 12km torpedos. While ignoring the torpedo circle on the minimap reading: 12km. Oh, Jingles, never change.

In my Shima I love using the 8km torps. It is a great feeling when i send skill to the enemy and there is nothing they can do when they see my torps. By then it is to late

The F3 8km Torpedoes actually deal less damage than the 12 km. They are also easier to spot by 100m. They do reload faster, but mostly people take them because they're faster. You can get them to over 83 knots with Torpedo tubes Mod 1 and the swift fish skill. The only T10 ships with faster torpedoes are the Halland, G'Dansk, and Kitakami. All of which can get their torpedoes over 94 knots, but do a lot less damage. The Harugumo and Zao can also equip the F3 for the same speed and range with varying reload times. The Smalland also has torpedos of equal speed, but again, less damage. Kelber only has torps 1 knot slower.

what Triple Strike did to the Delny reminds me of what I did to a Fubuki years ago. I followed a Fubuki in my Fubuki for a good 3-5 minutes, all the way to the end of the battle, but he never spotted me because I had Concealment Expert (what it was called at the time), and he didn't. Before the match ended he said his UI was broken, because no one shot at him for some reason XD

I paused the video at 14:50 to check. I’m happy to report on a jingles moment in that the Shimakaze does in fact Not have radar and the division only has two radars. That is all.

As for that Delny. If your game crashes, sometimes you cant reconnect at all for 5 minutes. Its just how the game works, really. No matter how hard you try.

A lot of people pointing out the Delny could have just disco'ed, and that is fair enough. But there was at least one moment on the East flank (before the Mino died) when just turning South and engaging the Shima would have made a bit of difference on how the match went.

I wouldn’t say it’s a throw either Jingles, it’s just the enemy team got lots of kills and caps early but lost a lot of hp in the process. Unfortunately for the enemy team the remaining friendly ships were manned by skilled players who knew their own strengths and weaknesses regardless of hp remaining as well as the remaining ships on the enemy team were either hampered by new rework (sub), low hp, and whatever happened to the Delny. I saw good torpedo evasion by most of the enemy team throughout that game. Sub Rework and Delny afk aside, this could have gone either way but having 2/3 friendly ships at the end in a division and the third that did good supporting on low hp while the enemy team had only 2/3 of their ships still in the game and the one ship needed on their team to deal with the shima afk, made the decisive difference.

I know only of one occasion where reporting actually did something. A friend of mine was in a battle, with an enemy player complaining a lot about how he got sunk and so on. My friend wrote only once in the whole battle and the only thing she wrote to the complaining player was, "What's your problem?". However this question must have pissed off a lot of people as she got reported 9 times for that question and instantly blocked from chat for 24hrs after the battle. A mail to the support with proof just came up with the we don't care for anything answer, "If you got banned there must be a reason." So they clearly doesn't care and never looked into the case at all. So overall all the support does is sending standard mails when it comes to reports. It is just an assumption, but I don't think they care at all for such things at all. Neither due the report system, nor by sending mails to the support.

I feel like Aiming has gotten wonky somehow. I haven't seen "aiming adjustments" in any patch notes, but just 5 minutes ago, 3 times in my Missouri in the same match, I fired at a ship 12-15 km from me, aiming half way up the bow of the ship, and every single shell hit water well before the ship I was aiming at.

Jingles, they changed submarines so that you can't shotgun anymore. Torpedos from under 3km (I think) basically do no damage.

The subs got a new mechanic, their torps no longer do full damage at less than 3k distance. So even if our intrepid shima at all of them, at that range, your talking maybe 7k damage instead of the 50k damage since less than 3km.

Hi Jingle, to check if mino has radar before the game starts look at their stats shown by clicking on them in the enemy listing!!

That does not work for the enemy team. The stats for the opponents are shown with all consumables the resp. ship can mount. Only your own teams ships are shown with their actual setup.

I just recently have an absolute throw of a game where I was 1 kill away from a Kraken unleashed, with 5 other achievements (I was not in a division) and almost 170k dmg. I was afraid that I was somehow featured in this battle lmao

Don't worry Jingles, I took 5 mins and had to Google to figure out what the G'Dansk was, and, turns out I already own one. I have so many ships I play so little that I don't know what they all are, let alone what they do.
