They should have just evacuated the fucken thing, with all of Britain's naval forces, they could easily break through the german's weak af navy (comparatively) while still in the range of land-based fighters, providing air cover. I do think the brits had alternative motives for destroying it, alternatives were available.

So many negative comments and the most are from people who played or heard from others bad stuff about Izumo.. First of all Izumo is a damn good ship which needs some skill and the player who plays it not be a fucking chicken who runs behind islands.. Same thing with this one here, Its a ship made for offence and with the correct team (better say division) can push capture-points at start of the game along with the destroyers thanks to her speed and some smoke protection. With aim modules, commander skill and with correct flags up, am pretty sure 6 our of 8 shells will hit the target and perhaps citadels on anyone. Also since most players use the classic WoT tactic to run forth and back, you can just reverse out of an area without exposing your sides and still do damage on enemies and STILL avoid incoming torpedos. And last. You can also use her to hunt down enemy nab cruisers and battleships who stay on max range keep your sides safe, easily avoid incoming shells and make them rage on chat on how unfair life is.. So dont go and say "ohh this ship suck" .. Go and get better..

Davian Thule to be onest I fear the Izumo. She is a Battleship that got my respect, I mean I even killed a Yamato with 4 citadels once ( because I was in the Bismarck and he wasn't paying attention to me I got his side :)) ) but could never overpower the Izumo, only with 2ndary and fires.

What is the purpose of the clock on the superstructure in 2:22? Is it to show the time or the position of the guns for the sailors?

IIrc it's a way to show (in a somewhat discreet manner)other nearby ships you found the right range. But since they got 12 digits they must have doubled as regular clocks during peace time i guess.

I'm a journalist for Ridble.com and I spoke with some Wargaming representatives at Gamescom 2016, asking about the Regia Marina Italiana...they were semi-dismissive but what I understood is that they're coming after the RN cruisers AND Russian BBs. I'm waiting for them as well but I imagine they won't come earlier than the second half of next year

Combination of drawbacks are so strong than combination of superior things. Especially main belt armor and turret armor. Even Cleveland can penetrate this armor in 4 km. enjoy!

+GintaPPE1000 It was a unexpected situation. Because cleveland flank the line. I just behave with the other cruiser, and i and my teammate cruiser met him. Cleveland aimed my turret and my turret got rekt. But we could sink him :)

My favorite ship so far after 2+ years playing the game. BUT it´s not for everyone as it´s a peculiar ship. Excels at hunting cruisers. The most important for exels as captain of this ship it´s perfectly know when to use AP and HE shells. It´s survivable always you keep your ship pointing the enemy and don´t offer your broadside. Also reduce to the minimun the time to recharge the Damage Control Party to get rid of fires and the occasional main turret knock out, so buy the premium consumable and train your captain accordingly. She's similar to the Omaha class cruisers because they doesn't have to expose her sides and citadels. But the Omaha class has 10 -12 guns, and 6-12 torpedoes. It would be cool if there was a cruiser that doesn't have to expose her side and citadel to strike with all her might, but has no aft guns, but torpedoes. But the Omaha class cruisers are perfect for going nose in. I'd even say that Omaha class cruisers are the best nose in cruisers in the game.

Richelieu class BB was designed for hunting Littorio and Bismarck class. Littorio class BB was designed for hunting Dunkerque class. Dunkerque class was designed for Deutschland class panzerschieff.

New Mexico has issues with the underside protection of her main guns. The turret underbellies and barbettes are very poorly-armored, and if a shell bounces off the deck and goes straight through one of those places you will lose that gun.

In real life, the Dunkerque's turrets had an armored bulkhead down the middle, making it almost impossible for a single shell to knock out the entire turret. Pity that's not true in the game.

The French could’ve repaired her, but then decided to scuttle the ship, she was captured by the Italians, but they deemed her beyond repair so they started scrapping her, then in 1944, a few months after the Italians surrendered to the allies, Germany took the ship and continued scrapping her until she was no more

Just like in real life , the Dunkerque is horrible. Historically the guns ware horrific,when you fire one of them, the concussion trows the aim of all others because they ware stacked i pairs for 2 next to each other. It was only designed to fight ships like Graff Spee. In game is the same- ultra shit guns, armor that is going to embarrass CLs and the size.... (when you wont speed and guns in front you need to balance it with length (because of the big weight in front and speed needs long streamlined ship)....
