Good advice : Troll screens Smoke screens are torpedo/gun/plane magnets (never place your ship in a smoke screen) How to use smoke screens properly 1. Deploy smoke screen 2.Go in smoke screen (Make sure enemy ships are chasing you) 3.Get out of the smoke screen immediately (from the back) 4.The enemy's will shoot at the smoke screen (Being distracted) 5. Shoot enemy's from behind while wasting their time blind shooting in the empty smoke screen 6. You: You just got REKT baby. Enemy : how did he do that ? 7. Enjoy using the troll screen Tactic --------------------------------------------------------------ENJOY----------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah, in real life they wouldn't go inside, the destroyers do it to block enemy vision from capital ships not hide in them, as I remeber

Plus, the gun that the cartoon captain is firing is not actually automatic. The 37 mm SK C/30 that he's using was a semi-automatic AA gun, that was loaded one round at a time, this made its rate of fire very poor, 30 rounds per minute. But it was compensated for by its high muzzle velocity and accuracy, but it wasn't enough to put it on par with medium-caliber AA guns like the 40mm Bofors.

You used to get spotted if your AA shot while in smoke, not anymore.

Exactly. But enemies can still see your tracers and shoot at them to hit you without you getting detected. I recommend not staying in smoke screens too long because people tend to shoot torps at them, so instead use them as a wall between you and the enemy.

Christian Krona You're also easier to detect when your aa is firing, which is why dds should leave it disabled until absolutely necessary.

That AA gun he was using was actually terriabke in real life. It didn’t rapidly fire it fired in shell at a time and was automatically reloaded by two crew members.
