World of Warships Best Premium Carrier

So you are thinking about getting a premium CV. World of Warships has added all four to the premium shop. We've got Saipan, Kaga, Enterprise and Graf Zeppelin. I'm going to make my recommendation very quick, and really its for only one big reason that will aide you as you get thrust into T10 matches over and over again. I wish I could recommend a CV on many attributes, but I just don't think we are at a point where CV play is balanced enough. You might be better off just waiting.

As a long time CV player a new CV player should get the Kaga as it has more planes and less forgiving when you loose them to AA. Saipan is for CV veterans as you have to play her conservative as loss of planes has the highest timer in the game. GZ has the fastest DB and TB in the game. Her TB is the bread and butter. DB can be inconsistent with drops. Also she has 21mm of armor making her immune to HE alpha damage on caliber guns under 130mm. The rounds will just shatter and only cause fire chance. Also add her accurate secondaries. I would consider GZ good for CV players familiar with CV gameplay. Enterprise has AP bombs versus HE USN. AP takes time to master so not considered for a new CV captain to start off with. In order Beginner = Kaga Average to Good = GZ and Enterprise Good to Veteran = Saipan Anyone can play what they want. This assessment is just for those based on skill level and play style want to choose a ship that will compliment your skill level without frustrating you.

However, I think a new CV player will not very good to use Kaga, since the less HP of planes... at least after I drew other 3 CV by boxes, I have much less using Kaga...

excellent advise from Darth_Blackcat. I own each of the Prems as well. One more minus the Kaga has though: it is _extremely_ slow, sluggish, and turns like a brick. If you get caught off guard, you're dead. Her torpedo planes are infinite though and will almost guarantee high damage on low tier battles. Enterprise is fun, also has more fighters (10) than the other ones (5): If you're unsure on the AP Bombs, just go for german battleships and watch the citadels come in. Saipan is difficult, even its tier 10 planes will get shot down, and it has less planes than the others. GZ is a very versatile allrounder plus its fast plus its Secondary range.

I got Kaga because I am a bit of a collector, and I also like how she looks. I still have to do a bit more carrier practice before I play CVs regularly, and Kaga seems to be the most forgiving at the moment.

Kaga definitely is more noob friendly because your hangar makes it forgiving of mistakes. But I think all of the other 3 are better at dealing damage/winning games. Zepplin’s air speed means it can hit more frequently than others, Big E has a similar advantage to the Kaga in its fast plane respawn time but it also has harder hittin planes, and Saipan doesn’t get many but it’s planes do hit the hardest imo. (Saipan has tier X planes in small ish squadrons, definitely not noob friendly as one mistake can put whole squadrons out of action for a goo long time)

I would agree on Kaga as a go-purchase...her hangar planes are enormous which is really a friendly CV for captains who wanna try to do CV gameplays...And she has greater late-game potential than the other 3 premium CVs since Kaga cannot get deplaned easily. On the 15 minute mark, you still have 20+ planes on each department on your hangar. Unlike Saipan and Graf Zeppelin that needs almost full aircraft restoration build and good squadron management for their late-game potential on over 10 minute mark matches

IMO it isn't worth it due to being in so many tier 10 matches. In general CV's at tier 4-6 are to weak and tier 10 AA is to strong for tier 8 CV's, WG needs to fix their mess.

I got Kaga when it first hit the store because of the history and strike load. Then the rework hit and while she never runs out of planes, it feels like she never does anything meaningful either. Spotting runs (which are not in my nature) and airstrikes routinely cost my entire squadron for little to no payoff and plane play is even duller than old WoWP, leading to the strange situation where I tend to have more fun, do more damage, and make more credits using her as a gunboat. Testimate to the state of carriers, or my inability to adapt?

I have brought only Kaga very early (because only this ship that times ), while its bombs are accurate and 6 torpedoes(2wave), with well fun, before rework then I drew other 3 CV with 20boxes, flak clouds anger me, but burst lots of damage are comfortable... in compare to DD/BB/CA, just Asashio20km provides the same feels

bit late to the comment party, i got Enterprise at first, with no other reason than that i liked how she looked. the AP bombers on this ship can be deadly when used in the right hands. (mine being a huge exception, i tend to be able to miss all my bombs even on the GK), I later got the kaga. the most fun i've had with a CV in a long time. the plane reserves are very handy. being able to launch 3 full squads of each plane is great. her torp bombers are the star of the show, the torps are fast, hit like trucks and have reasonable flooding chance. at the cost of having tier 7 planes. which dont like AA a lot. dive bombers being HE bombers are always nice.

Well...with the new hotfix for just 1 CV in TX the MM for T8 CVs is awesome. I played them a lot the last days and I see just T8 and lower and with a bit bad luck some T9. It’s not fun for the other ships, and also not for me, but the MM for the T8 CVs is really lucky right now until the next hotfix

I have different gameplay of premium CV on my channel and i'm agree with you. I personnally i think Kaga is the easiest premium CV to play the AIM is very fast and you have a lot of planes. If you want to learn play CV or you are beginner it's good for you but if you are good with them go for Saipan is very powerful too.

For me the best premium CV is Immelmann. 80% winrate on ranked with that beast with avg damage of 120k. You only struggle when you are facing multiple dds with good AA

They should change the mm for CVs to a +1 -1 system, the AA 2 Tiers Up ist just shredding the lower Tier CVs, thats the same for Tier 8 Cvs in a Tier 10 match as for Tier 6 CVs in a Tier 8 match.

Completely agree. Kaga has a loooot of planes and the strike is heavy, compared to other CVs. What makes the Kaga that much superior to the others is not only the amount of planes but also the Super-stealthy Planes. You can go on a Torp run ever before the enemy ship sees your torp bombers...it's really sneaky and effective! Worst to me is Graf Zeppelin..I think it's overhyped, the AP bombs are still inferior to HE Bombs. And the Torp bombers are waaaaay too weak as well....

I bought 5 crates and got the Graf, Saipan, and the enterprise. I would've taken kaga over Graf any day but 3 prems for less then $5 can't complain. I LOVE the enterprise, Saipan is good when getting up tiered but get deplaned easy, I hate the graf.... seems underpowered comparatively the Stuka horns are cool but... eh. I actually haven't been in a game yet were me as a Graf or another Graf player got a kill. Enterprise at least a kill a game and a lot of airplane kills

if graf zeppelin decides to snipe (aka Stalk you entire game) you when you are in kaga, you can not do a single shit. Graf Z's torp planes are super fast, they just come in, drop, and leave without scratch (I had 3 fighters up. not a single plane shot down). Go for Graf Z

My .02, never ever waste a dime or a second of time on Tier 8 anything. My experience and common knowledge, any t8 will be dumped in Tier 10 games almost exclusively. I tracked 60 of my T8 Atago games. Of the 60 games a whopping 48 were T10 games. What does that mean? Your t8 boat is nearly always pitted against the the highest tier and most powerful ships in the game. The shiney new preimi will be target practice for the most powerful ships in the game.

Also, Kaga plane restoration is just over 60 seconds. The Saipan's is over 2 mins for 1 plane. If a Saipan has planes shot down early, it negatively effects the rest of the battle....

The Saipan's squadrons have fewer planes per attack run, but they also seem to carrier more weapons per plane. Well, the TBs carry 2 torpedoes per plane. OTOH, the rocket planes are armed with the large Tiny Tims, which are less numerous, but hit harder against big ships, but aren't so great vs DDs, since each miss hurts the overall damage potential of the strike more than if you were using more numerous, but weaker rockets. And IIRC, the DBs are the same ones used by the Midway, just fewer of them per squadron and per strike group. Also, the Saipan's planes are faster than those on the Kaga and Enterprise.

@@crucisnh I have the Midway and just sold the Saipan (Kept my Kaga) so i know the Tiny Tim's well. The Midway has HE DB's unlike the Enterprise's AP which you seem to be misinformed about. The Enterprise having AP leaves her more ineffective against DD's. Also, something not yet mentioned, the Kaga has very fast torps for a CV, the Enterprise has the standard slow one's and the U.S CV's have a very long aim time on the torp runs.

I got me the Kaga because for the Queen of the seas Kaga is definitely best girl (yes WEEB ALERT). I do hate to say it but it is definitely the most noob friendly CV. However that is fine because it is a beautiful CV and is a premium so a win win.

@@chandlermathis5894 you might be able to damage as much with any ship (although I doubt you can do as much damage with AP shells on a BB), but CVs are the only one able to strike at any place on the map, any time, being able to outrun any ship even the fastest ones, negating any concealment investment and this in the comfort of being in the safe place behind friendly ships and away from the battle zone. And yes, I do play CVs to see how the CV game play is.

@@dudeonyoutube when CVs were changed, they gave a limited time for players to refund their CVs if they didnt like the new gameplay. i didnt like it so i chose to refund my CVs into FXP and credits. premiums were refunded into gold. they also similar things with changed ships like kutuzov when they added smoke firing detection penalty to allow players to refund it if they dont like it. its fair this way as players spent money on these ships and after nerfing them they might not want them anymore. without a specific event allowing this, i think they only refund unused premiums for gold.
