World of Warships Blitz - British premium battleship "Warspite" revisited

It's been years since my first Warspite review - literally. Time to visit her again, and see how she holds up today.
Also, still one of the most beautiful battleships in my opinion.

I set my son up to play a round against the a.i because he was wanted to play. I turned away briefly and came back to discover his team won and I was the new owner of Warspite! Lol And I have appreciated it ever since. It complements my style of play. I angle away, keeping distance, picking off overaggressive enemies. Never straying far from cover. Good job Terr!

I enjoyed this, thanks. You’re right about the spotter plane from the Warspite. If you’re not aware Terry, the HMS Warspite was the most decorated Warship? She fought at Jutland in 1916, she was damaged, she received damage to her steering, this damage apparently affected her throughout the rest of her career, even after repair. I was told that by a friend, his Grandad had served on the Warspite, he was a Royal Marine manning X turret if memory recalls. She is also famous for having the longest recorded BB to BB hit in history, whilst out at sea. She hit and Crippled the Gulio Cesare from a ridiculous range, I forget now how far. She was a very accurate ship. There was huge public demand for the Warspite to be saved and made into a museum ship here in the UK, because of her fame, she was up there with the Hood. But the UK was bankrupt after WW2 & as everyone knows it never happened. Even whilst under tow on her way to be scrapped in 1948/49 she foundered off Cornwall at Prussia Cove, and refused to be moved. The old lady was still fighting on. She was a remarkable ship the Warspite. I have friends in the Royal Navy that still hold that ship in high regard. Oh by the way mate, she is shown as she was in WW2. This was after extensive refit modernisation in the 1930’s. She had her 2nd funnel removed, improved armour belt, superstructure changed, speed changed, improved AA. Unlike QE, Barham, Malaya her secondaries weren’t altered.

I just got this ship a few days ago as part of the black friday sale and I love it! I get at least one citadel almost every match (6 citadels is my record so far, both in this ship and the other ~13k battles I've fought). She's a strong mid- to close-range brawler, and I've even punished over-confident Gneisenaus.

seem to remember you not overly liking the warspite in your first review and i thought she was awesome and i was surprised as i generally agree with most of your reviews! but your right her dispersion is paints but she’s great at range as that plunging fire always gets citadels!

Ah yes the Warspite, the mighty seacastle, with her superstructure that looks way to much like a castle, idk what the brits were thinking there, they should have made it out stone like they did In medieval age. However Slow as bulldozer but really packs a punch fun ship to play

Warspite is definitely top 2 or 3 in t6. Ranked play recently was t6, I'm BB main so worked Warspite & Arizona heavily. Got 25th place so I felt pleased ☺

@@FunandGameswithTerry Yes & Prince E F. All good especially w/ lvl12 skipper, a must in Ranked play. I found Black NMEX w/histo camo VERY similar to AZ..

True arizona still best t6bb for skirmish purpose, for randoms blk mexico or warspite(with camo max captain master reloader apcs..) warspite is great dmg dealer type of bb Blk bayern is mediocre Eitel friedrich op brawler i got hipper on it 😂

It's balanced by the poor AA and average armour. Just like the Hood, she's a great ship in the right hands, but needs to be played to her strength.

@@FunandGameswithTerry and also extremely slow turrets rotation, if I may add. 😁 Thats why in this ship hull and turrets should always turn into the same direction. My go to bb for t6. No competitor. For me. 😁

Warspite is simply great. Best game for me 7 citadels and just over 101k damage. If there is a citadel daily challenge, this is the ship you want. The premium camo is good, and a 12 point Captain helps 😆! Never concerned if I’m one v one against another BB.

Great video Terry, love the old girl, it is one of my most highest win rate ship and it is what I would say as a good all rounder bb to play at t6 and quick question what are your thoughts on the black Friday deals and the auction.

I haven't looked at the deals, the auction thing made me laugh pretty hard, actually. At auctions, there's usually one winner...

@@FunandGameswithTerry i dont know i also laughed when I saw the first ship on the auction was a black fdg with 15k gold as the starting bid. Starting stock 200, and till today nobody buys it is still 200! 😄 why on earth they want to start the auction with that ship. Such a poor choice, in my eyes. The lot refreshes every 48hrs it seems, so with around 12 days event duration we are only going to see 6 ships in total for the auction, which is a shame. Regarding the black market purchase section, it seems that the most item people bought was the golden key packs to open the normal heavy box; which I am quite surprised to see. I thought the best deal from that lot would be the 15 days camo paint with +80% extra xp and silver. I guess others think differently than me then 😁 Anyway, for the purchase section it looks like that the items will be refreshed every 24hrs so there will be new items on offer today evening.

Have a question about Minotaur commander skill, I have david beatty, should i choose air defense expert or sixth sense for the 4th skill?

As much as it pains me to say it, sixth sense is such a powerful skill, I wouldn't trade it for anything. Especially in something as vulnerable as the Mino. She'll have less AA power, but it's worth it. Once you get targeted, you can start dodging - and in T10, things can target you from the other end of the map.

Yep, definitely had that one. Nagato can score that, Odin, couple of ships, I think. Not super frequent, though.

@@FunandGameswithTerry mine came from the Ashitaka funnily enough. I sailed up to the broadside of a New Mexico who was target fixated on our dd and blapped him in the side for 5 citadels

Yeah, from what I remember, Izmail was pretty good, but haven't played since the line came out, so it might have been nerfed since. Not very interested in the Soviet BBs atm.
