World of Warships Blitz - French destroyer "Kléber" review

If you thought the Le Fantasque was fast, you haven't seen anything yet. Of course, I'm going for the meme build. And yes, I know it's a "contre-torpilleur", but that wouldn't have worked as well for the acronym.

Kleber is pretty much a lighthouse build, being spotted all the time and zipping around the map raining shells on the enemy, the shells are really to get used to, especially when I discovered that the AP over pens other DDs at low tier. Also I got the legendary commander Robert Jaujard so that a nice addition for the grind

Yeah, if they have a RR ready, at close range, they can be quite deadly. No sonar or radar means they're pretty helpless against smoke though, and they do eat damage in return.

Thank ypu very much Terry for making the video and considering my previous request 😊 I just finished grinding the le fantasque and I am currently at the mogador, now. Excellent ship, I enjoy playing with her very much. Agreed with a lot of assessments you made regarding the line in the video. A couple minor differences perhaps; for example I install lappel de Lange camo paint as I prefer extra health I don't need torp range, preventive maintenance, gun rammer, and propulsion upgrade I; the rest is pretty similar to yours. I wish wg would add some more turbo drives. 2 is too few. Excellent video, Terry! 👍😄

Kléber is an upgraded Mogador, so you should be right at home there. Valid choices, my speed build is not the only one for sure. It was just crazier that way.

Right on! I call that the 'Roadrunner' tactic🤗 Run & Gun! I in a Minnesota holding middle cap had one of these pestering me from behind a rock. He was peppering me nicely BUT he got Zero help! I waited... He popped his stern out I hit it with 12 guns HE, 9 hits & he survived...until my secondaries sank it😘 It was tougher than I expected but just a pest, not a threat...

They don't have the biggest damage output, and no armour whatsover. Speed is what saves them, mostly

I have a fleet of my own in a mobile game called Warship craft and the Kleber is faster then some of my ships of the NAF (North Atlantic Fleet) but my god kleber is a really really fast ship

That's on my list, actually... Belfast is an excellent T7 cruiser, you'll see her frequently in competitive. If you like light cruisers with utility, she's a good choice.

Belfast with Cunningham is terrifying You only got downtime of 15 second before you can redeploy your smoke and belfast AP just slap destroyer extra hard

Hey, do you know the stats that brings the special camo (the one in blue). I hope they will make it available on the store. Small note, this dd is indeed crazy in most situations. I only fear good CVs. I learnt the hard way to come back to an AA ally at the beginning of the battle especially. Thanks!

Not sure about OP, it's pretty easy to get focused down, once players get used to the amount of lead they need to take. But Mogador actually had radar, I think, but it was crap

If you get the European elite commander you should make a video of using it with the halland because it has quite a big affect on the ship, it becomes the best radar ship in the game (except from the Plymouth but who tf plays that thing)

My build, using all of the speed buffs including a Yellow speed camo, it can go 61.3 knots. Everything else is basically standing still at those speeds.

I actually find DD gameplay hard to watch sometimes, due to the frequent camera shifts. I tend to sail a lot on instinct or map, just making mental notes where dangers are. Doesn't always work, but it's hectic enough as it is.

Im guessing the reason kleber's concealment is so bad is because her engine is so incredibly loud she could be heard coming kilometers away Kleber looks like a pretty silly boat overall, zipping around at nearly 60 knots, worcesters are going to have an awful time trying to hit these at max range Looking at both the soviet and french DD lines, honestly you are better off grinding the soviets, the french DDs are they are arent in the best state They generally perform the role of a gunboat much better, mainly due to having overall more consistent gun performance they can DD hunt and long-range gunboat more comfortably Sure the soviets are slower which gives them less tactical ability but they are still mighty fast

I think the intended style for those was ranged HE spam. Which, tbh, I'd rather be in a cruiser for. They're pretty useful for cap control, but things are going to be hairy once CVs learn the lead they need to take.

No thx no need onetrick pony 😂 Only t8+ gets the ‚one trick‘ befor its just aweful grind, and the turret trav means dont turn just yolo 😂 no torp power to sink stuff when you get there, no nothing to escape 😂 it only promote ignore caps and ignore teamplay.. but people will stop these ships soon when cv‘s adjust to the speed, its free kill To cause lemmingtrain is another thing.. its bad to be at the mapborder but others wont get back anytime soon.. The dispersion is aweful too lol

Yeah, definitely has downsides. Yolo gameplay can be fun, but I find it taxing - you need to think at 1.5 speed to survive zipping around.
