I think it's one of the most underappreciated roles in the game. Even if you're not playing in a division with voice comms, you can actually support your team and give them the best chance to win.

What a great video. Thanks for sharing your insights into cruisers and their various roles in battle. I don't see why so many people don't like the Dallas and Pensacola though. They are literally mini versions of the Worcester and Demoines. I've played the Dallas and Pensacola with that mentality and walked away from many games for the better. They might not have radar and sonar etc but they are basically raw versions of their T10 counterparts.

Pensacola here is actually a lot better than in PC, since the lack of armour isn't as impactful. Dallas can be a difficult step, she's the first pure gunboat, with slow shells and high arcs that take some getting used to, and a poor fire chance that makes dealing with BBs a lot harder. Brooklyn is a good ship though, so it's worth it.

Cleveland can take some getting used to, but she's the first in the line to be really, really good at what she does. You need to be comfortable playing with BB range, since the guns are only effective against DDs at close range, but popping up next to a cap gets most DDs to ink

I am currently gonna go down the American CL line, I just started and on the Phoenix. I do like the American CL's, and had been planning on grinding them for a while but, didn't get to it. I do play one of the support cruiser line: the Soviet CL line. I am currently on the Chapayev, but will have Donskoi soon, just need some blueprints. I tend to play my Chapayev behind a friendly BB and spam HE, and when I see a DD, I deter it as much as possible. I like the Chapayev, good AP and precise, which makes an enemy DD think twice about getting closer. It's a bummer that the Chapayev only gets one Radar (I don't have the Soviet cruiser legendary commander). All in all, yea I also use my Chapayev as bait if I don't have a friendly BB and hope that my DD can punish that BB.

@@wheels-n-tires1846 Agreed. It's one of the reasons I decided to go down the American CL split rather than the CA line. Although both have very good AA. I just prefer the CL's more, although I do think I will eventually try the CA's. Right now, I'm grinding multiple lines lol

@@COMMANDER-wm9vr Yeah both US cruiser lines are excellent. I've been playing since game was only a few months old. My first T10 was DesMoines... And back then - WOW!!! Amazing firepower!!! Of course she's been power crept since then, but she's still excellent. The CLs are just fun!!! And Worcester doesn't disappoint, although it takes time to adjust to those "ricochet off the moon" shell arcs... And personally, I prefer Seattle over the Worcester, but the reality of T10 games makes you not wanna use it... I'm grinding multiple lines too-Ital DD,CA...German BB,BC... Swede Dad's...and Japanese DDs... Plus I still need Gearing and Monty!!!🤣 I've got 800k free xp saved up, but I'm making myself earn at least 75% of the xp before I buy next ship lol...

@@wheels-n-tires1846 I started playing around 2 years ago. I've come a long way lol. But yea, I've been wanting to grind the line for so long. Yea the American shells tend to have an entire journey before hitting their target. I'm grinding the same lines as well pretty much, but I also add the Italian BB line. And the German DD line, not the Scout Cruisers. I stopped on the Akatsuki, but I will rebuy it again once I have silver again. I have the Monty, took me a while to get it. I am on the Nicholas in the American destroyers. Oh yea, I'm also grinding the Pan-Asian destroyers as well, currently on the Hsienyang.

@@COMMANDER-wm9vr i first started in US BBs- but Iowa has been such a fail for me i gave up on it. Went after the Vermont and got it pretty quick. Id have wrapped up the US ships n just spenf the FXP but I'm trying to be kinda disciplined about the grind LOL... WG is spitting out new lines faster than we can grind em haha- i probably average 6 battles a day...

Nice video Terry .. now people just need to lesrn when to radar and sonar .. I see DDs smoke up all the time where the Us CL wont radar despite being in range 🤦‍♂️

Worcester is a boosted Seattle. Much better armour than Atlanta - still a light cruiser, but not an easy one-shot

Hi Terry. Just wanted to ask if the HE penetration captain perk affects the damage done by auto secondaries of German Battlecruisers. Also how are the tier 9 ad 10 German Battlecruisers?

The captain skills only affect main guns. Either way, IFHE is generally not recommended, APCS is more effective in almost all cases. I've got reviews out for the BCs, they're fun, but not much armour

No. Your guns are longer range than air strikes. You manually aim air strikes. One you press fire on an air strike that's where they're going to drop their bombs. No redirecting like with torpedo planes. They don't lock on to a ship like traditional dive bombers do.
