I had to fight sooo many instincts in this thing - usually, I play light cruisers aggressively to the point of recklessness - doesn't really work with this one. The Nürnberg has similar armour and health, but at tier 6 and with monster AP, she rules the waves. That said, I'm doing actually quite consistent damage in the Atlanta.

WOW! I forgot Admiral Kinkaid is so awesome in this game. But only because of how useful his specific buffs are, but also because they come early in the Captains skill tree, this motivating players to play the Captain early and REALLY helping the people who need help most, the “younger” aka, less experienced players. [my 11 year old plays the America tech tree across the board. I am German! A German Jew! Yes, we r still around!]

It's an interesting ship. It is aggravating when your teammates steadfastly refuse to enter the cap circle. Earlier today I was in a Gnevny fighting in Golden Channel. Here I all fighting to hold the cap and get sunk halfway through. I watch the rest of the match as the BBs on my team drive right up to the edge of the cap then turn away.

I'm making a point that it's important to secure the flanks on that map, especially if the BBs decide to defend the line between the islands, as they're really vulnerable there to anything quick with torps. But setting up a crossfire doesn't mean you have to abandon the cap - it's a balance between when to push and when to secure. Yeah, sadly, that doesn't always work out. But hey, such is life in multiplayer games with random strangers :) I'm planning to do some more detailed videos on how to read your team, and probably also some more map tactics videos.

Okay... so a couple of days ago, I met an Atlanta in my Enterprise, and stupidly decided to target him despite knowing that she EATS planes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Learnt my lesson the hard way. I befriended that guy, and asked him how he had set up his Atlanta. He said that he had chosen Auxiliary Armament Modification 1, Air Defence Modification 2 and Air Defence Modification 1 for his equipments. He had the Extra AA Ammo supply, no doubt, and was also running Kinkaid exactly the same way as you. Potent, must say.

But i also had weird battles today: 2 times 6 BBs and 1 CV per team (t8) and one battle where i was in Kurfürst and a Montana wanted to rush me with HE loaded and after firing 2 salvos for like 15k dmg he turns, all his guns facing wrong direction 3km away from me... he got shredded

Atlanta is a fine ship, but very squishy. Yesterday two divisionmate Atlantas broadsided my Lyon at 5km to get their torpedoes off. People say that battleships can one shot CLs but I think that’s only true in Lyon. The torpedoes all missed.

Can i give a tip on atlanta. I use reload on equiptment 1 coz the fire rate is needed. Now in skirmish or teamed with a bellfast and a cv using aa on the ship is great but to be onest you dont need distance for aa guns coz by time they get near if the equiptment 2 and 3 is aa then when the booster active you remove planes so fast with fighters above you aswell. But using the aa set up is only advisable for skirmish. using traverse and acceleration is best for avoiding long range fire. The ship is very weak and is a bb best target to remover in most cases 2 salvo lol

Yeah, my usual setup for CLs is steering & accel. I was rather keen on trying out an AA build, since this isn't a ship I'm playing frequently. The main battery reload is at 5.8, so reload mod 1 would bring it down to 5.5. Assuming 180s of "fire time" (where I actively shoot things), that'd be 31 salvos without, and 32 - 33 salvos with the mod, at the cost of 25% less turret resistance. Not sure the additional salvo is worth it, but I might try it out, if that's working for you :)

Im just sayingits your choice what you prefer but many have tried my way and stay there. The little reload time can be life and death if facing a dd or even bb at distance of under 10km lol. Obviously many play different but its just a tip from my point to share with you

My playstyle with Sirius is this: If you meet bbs, smoke and spam he + torps. Get out of there as soon as the timer gets red. If you meat a dd load ap and laugh at them, against light cruisers, fire ap and turn left and right all the time, against heavy cruisers you do the same with he. When you are below 50% health smoke up and spam he + torps

@@Villager.1 usually, you get detected in smoke by sonar / radar (the "detected" marker should change), or by proximity. Smoke doesn't make you invisible, it just reduces the range at which you can be spotted. Have another ship at 3km or so, and you'll be spotted inside smoke.

I think WG themselves often don't realise that some of their tactical concepts don't translate well into Blitz. Just too fast-paced. But yes, yeet for sure :) She's fun to play, in an "oh crap" sort of way.

Something else I’ve noticed myself (or at least believe) is that ships that are good in the other WOW ports are not so good or at least not as good in Blitz. Perfect example (based off what I hear off of other players) is the Bismarck and I think the Atlanta is another example of this. On the other hand, some ships generally considered ehh or bad on other ports are actually good in Blitz. The Haunge Ha comes to mind.

There are some key differences in Blitz. For example, the citadel damage. In PC, a citadel hit can almost kill a full-health CA. In Blitz, nowhere near that. Similar for torpedoes - a BB in Blitz can often absorb a full torp spread (e.g. Soviet), and be down to maybe half health. In PC, that'd be a death warrant. Armour angling isn't part of the damage algo in Blitz, so on the whole, it's more skewed towards the "frantic action" sort of game you get on PC in the late game sometimes. Personally, I quite like the Bismarck, due to exactly these factors - she shines when played aggressively - problem, of course, is to know _when_ to be aggressive, and these decisions have to be made quickly. That's probably one of the key differences for me (mind you, I haven't played PC, and only a handful of battle in Legends) - decision-making in Blitz has to be made in a much more rapid pace, whereas in the other games, you can "take a break" in a secure position, relocate, and then get back into battle.

@@blakeatkins895 she's a good ship, the Bismarck. 8x380mm mains might not sound much, but they reload quickly, and German AP hits very hard. For me, she's all about the secondaries, though - she shines most when you can get close. I've played Legends for a little bit, on my son's XBox, but haven't put significant amounts of time into it. Haven't played PC at all, either.
