Brawling DD without surprise or advantage is not advised because they have the torp advantage. If you approached head on , the villain should turn to face you directly approach quickly as possible only firing front guns to swing port or starboard to torp you at the required range (Not to close else the chung mu can pass very close so the enemy torp will not be armed) So when you play the chung mu against better enemy dd you need to be facing away when the engagement happens. This means approach with an exit then turn back at a slow speed to patrol an area. Facing away from your opponent means if you have smoke you can instantly end the engagement by smoking while you you approach from the from you need to slow down to 12km.

I think that the deep water torps will force the DD player to develop better knife fighting skills... especially at lower tiers. Most beginner DD captains try to use their torps against other DD's and usually end up killed or TK'ing for their efforts. With DD's being immune to deep water torps, it'll force the players to learn to use their guns in a knife fight against another DD. Either that or the Pan-Asian DD will be seen as a more supportive role with players avoiding trying to play the objectives... that would be a shame as their guns seem to be more than capable.

I find my sweet spot in this line is to avoid the caps at first because most of the time the enemy dds will wanna cap so I use that and try to sneak around the cap to get within range of the bb's having a cv help is a match made in heaven to help you spot while you sneak around. Then hope to come back to cap later when bbs run from you lol

Hi Notser! yesterday for the first time I encountered this Chung Mu. Unfortunately for him I was in my Khabarovosk. We suddenly met each other after passing an island so bassically 5 Km away. I pushed my booster and started to shell him and in a minute or so i completely crippled it. If it was a fletcher I would have had more hard time because he could have used his torp to push me away or to force me to turn and change direction. So I find them very limited in this PRIMARY role of fighting other DDs. Please let me know your thought

Poor IJN DDs. Real life: good gun systems combined with the fastest ship launched, that I know of, highest payload, longest ranged and *stealthiest* (when using the Type-93 because it used liquid oxygen as a propellant meaning it left nearly no wake which normally has escaping CO2 as its biggest component) torpedoes in the world. Ingame: terrible to average guns combined with not particularly fast, useless at long range, easily detected torpedoes. Long Lance my arse, more like Long Foam Bopping Stick.

Joe Average eh I doubt she will keep her 45 knots top speed. When she was refitted her speed was slowed down to 37 knots. A premium French DD, Aigle, is being tested and she has a special boost that I think enhances speed by 30%, I could be wrong, and that is insanely fast with the Fantasque's 45k

Ever since I started doing aircraft carrier stuff in beta/alpha (Can't remember when but oh well) I have never liked american CVs, Only really liked the japanese carriers. Its not that i don't play CVs because I don't enjoy it, Even though i don't its the fact that it seems like I cant contribute enough to the team so I usually prefer destroyers or cruisers instead because I feel like I can be more useful in them. I feel like the CV change might change my mind on that but i'll have to see.

For now no change. this means that you will keep having normal torps. Which is good. Yesterday I killed a DD because I was using my Anshan and he calmly walked across my torps thinking they were deep water. many players still don't know this.

Most ships in the line are from Taiwan or China, so they speak Chinese. However, they currently do not have ability to have commanders change language they speak, so for non-Chinese ships they will speak wrong language.

Notser Patch 0.6.14, Pan-Asian destroyers Base torpedo launchers were added to the tiers from IV to IX. They are similar to the top launchers of the previous tiers. Torpedoes, that were installed on the ships already now become the top option, and need to be researched.

Pan Asian v IJN DDs is typical WG. Introduce a new line that has to be better than the previous so people have a reason to play (and hopefully spend money) because, you know, fun game play isn't enough reason to play apparently. To be fair it's open to debate just how much fun game play there is for certain lines/classes. So they create balance fails. They buff/nerf things, but are craptastically bad at rebalancing every time they introduce something that changes the balance/meta. IJN DDs were undeniably monsters early in the game, especially things like the old Minekaze. The torp line has never recovered from WG's 'balancing'. Will it ever?

gunsystem build is better because you unlike teh Ameriakans have smoke whenever you want and are not bound to one Point with the longer Lasting US smoke....and no IJN will take that torps becasue if tehy lose the ability to hit DDs they have 0 defence agist enemy DDs because they never win a gungight agist any other nations unlike this Panasia were if you get pushing BBs they are great if you dont you still have US guns....AND teh smoke to use them whanever you like

Notser, I think the reason that the NA server has the least carrier players is that or so long the US carriers have always been less enjoyable than the IJN carriers. American carriers don't have the strike power that the IJN carriers do. Running aris superiority is no fun because you only have 1 or 2 dive bomber squadrons. Wargaming rubbed me the wrong way and i told myself i wasn't touching another US carrier till something changed.
