WG added a good and balanced premium after a really long time. Reminds me of the good old days when premiums meant a unique game play. Try knowing which enemies have purple stats and focus on killing them. There is a really good chance your team will win

I remember a Game in a Wickes with 6 Kills. I rushed 2 South Carolinas, went between them and send Torps both Sides. Then I rushed 2 more Bbs and also sunk them. Sometimes Rushing works but at higher Tiers it does not work that well. Try Rushing a Georgia or a German or French BB. They just turn and run away until the smoke runs out and the dd finds out that I have a Secondary Build.

Here is a tip for Paolo Emilio players. Today i ran into a Paolo with my Friesland twice and Friesland was wiping the floor with Paolo. Don't think that you have SAP and Torps and it would help much against Friesland, it does not. Both were straight up 1 vs 1 fights and in both cases the Paolo died while i ran away with 50% hp in one game and about 35% hp in the other game, so these fights weren't even that close. Friesland DPM is insane and since it's t9 like the Emilio, you'll likely to run into them quite frequently. Also smoking up harms you more than it helps because of the 5km hydro on Friesland.

Yeah, especially the Fuel Smoke can be a double edged sword. When you get hydroed or radared you are kinda trapped in it. It is a very situational ship designed for calculated devastating strikes or for punishing over extended potatoes

I get that it can be fun to play, but my problem with it is that neither of those 2 BBs had the time to turn away and dodge. WG seems to have a thing for introducing ships against which there’s no real counter ... except to be in a different game. These ships may be fun to play, but what about the player on the other end of the yolo rush? Is this the sign of a last gasp game, out of real ideas, looking for gimmicks to keep players interested? thing is, this ship gets fucked hard by hydro and radar, because it physically cannot get out of its own smoke for the entire duration. But youre right, BBs that dont have hydro or radar, meaning most of them, are screwed.

You made an important point. WoWs has violated over and over again in the recent past the prinicple of a level playing field. No counterplay possible. Just look at the Monster CV FDR. Aeroon did 260k dmg in a game after playing that thing a few times.

12 torps plus one extra .... i used to play multi player mud - in that game you don't want to die ... the penalty in World of warships would be : die/(or ramming) with a level 8 ship ... funny now i have only an 6 and will have to grind it again !!! so yes that game is basically played a fair bit more careful.

I was really hoping this ship to be either Coal or Free XP as all the other tier IX special ships (or straight doubloons). I have all the Italian Ships so far, but I doubt I will be able to get this as a casual player: I just unlocked my fifth Tier X today, and I don't think I'm willing to reset most of the lines I so painfully completed just for a single DD, let alone a tier IX

A wonderful ship, but can be very limited due to spread out radar, especially on smaller maps or single cap mode where its almost necessary to compete with DDs. Difficult if a CV is present in game due to small smoke duration and very long cool down. I feel her power is on larger maps where you can scan the enemy holes and plan ship movements. Especially late game. Do it well, big rewards. She can change a flank. Her armour scheme has caused a little grief with the BB salvo you generally take steaming in. Also from general fire from a Russian CA. For the research you spend on her.... she just seems a little basic. I think something else is needed to allow her to compete in matches where her all in approach cannot be used until late game. Ideas; gun buff add a heal If not to be different, maybe buff the Assured detection range of her to 2.5km - interesting Or even a Load out change on torpedo's. e.g. 7/8km torpedo's for 1 salvo less... changing the layout to 2 middle tube mounts. In matches the DDs who have RPF and work defensively almost nullify this ship as you are always out spotted. For the the 10 minutes I found Island maps have caused little joy in the little emilio. She can be a riot to play, but team play is not really possible.
