@SeaRaptor. Thank you very much for your rundown of late 2023 and the very insightful Twitch conversation about the teratment of new and experienced players. I certainly dislike the neverending bimonthly introduction of a new line and its included gimmick. I never seen to be able to catch up and the credit draught has really hit my account to the max - even after selling of camos and signal flags.

I can imagine. The steady diet of new grinds to chase has to be a huge credit drain for folks who don't spend money on the game (which, I suspect, is the point).

@@SeaRaptor Ya know S3VYN brought up a good point, the marked DROP in server population is actually almost on par and inverse to the climb during COVID times. Also coinciding with, hmmm, SS being added. It's almost like the community has collectively made a choice to NOT want to play because, partially due to this....

Hello Raptor. first of all thanks for your incredible work. To collect and analyze all those data is not easy. I play on EU server and althought the number of players is quite consistent (around 8K in prime time) you have to consider that somehow this num,ber is inflated by the arrival Ucrainian and other easter european players migrated from RU server. Allow me a few personal consideration: - in general the quality/skill of players is decreased a lot and I dont see how this trend can be reversed. having unbalnsed game means less fun, cause usually after 5 minutes a team has already destroyed the other. This is a factor that may drive away players especially the veterans. - At the end of video you stated theat "playing same game can become boring" and I agree. However the majority of player -noob- base do not agree. Infact they keep asking for removal of subs and CV ; but this will only make the game less rich in class and game style and make more people leave the game; - Last but not least, playing the game for free: I was used to spend money in this game until 1 year ago. I stopped because I dont like the "early access mechanic" and the decision to NERF premium ships: I mean balansing new ship is a task that belong to WG : they are supposed to do test, and to adjust the parameters before releasing the new ship. making a mistake is possible BUT in this case a premium ship should be REMOVED and money given back to customer. What happened with Colossus is a shame : they sold this ship that was clearly stronger then average for REAL MONEY and soon after they nerfed it with the hammer. No refund nothing.

True, but 4501 feels like one of the most egregious. I can forgive the insane speed of the French DDs, for example, because we have test records proving that they were the fastest things afloat. 4501's submerged speed is simply completely deal-breaking for me. It's ludicrous in the extreme for the technology of the era.

@@SeaRaptor Maybe they are, if I am just trying to rationalize their decision, trying to factor in the fact that DDs could not go full speed and use their sonar and the Type XXI, and XXIII, were faster underwater than at the surface. (most subs were around 5 knots, or less and DDs sonar searched about 14 knots, if I remember) But I am pissed that WG made all the subs too fast for DDs to be counter. IMHO subs were a mistake that was implimented badly and WG keeps trying to fix it bit by bit when they sould just rip it all out and start over. (though just taking them out would be fine with me) But I guess they can't do that without annoying the sub players.

I don't remember when the Chinese new year hits, but most of the people take off to visit family and may not be online to play the game then. It would be interesting to see if the great CC expulsion, LWM debacle and shutting down the forum showed up in the player numbers? The theory of player burn out may not apply to me as a PvE player as no matter how bad my team is it usually works out and the high intensity game play is not why I play. But that does make me a minority I guess. Maybe WGing thinks the older skilled players are too skilled and give new players bad experiances by clubbing noobs who play badly and the new players quit. A reverse of the older players frustrated with bad teemmates.
