World of Warships - Quick Cut: Tier VI Pan-Asian Destroyer Fushun

I've never been a HUGE fan of the Pan-Asian destroyer line, so I can't really tell you why I opted to reset them recently and re-grind them for Research Points. I guess I wanted to see how the line had held up over the years. Based on my games in the Tier V and VI ships so far, the answer is... not all that well. Here in Fushun on New Dawn I manage a decent enough game, but the ship just doesn't feel all that impressive for a mid-tier "gunboat". The reliance on your main battery to put opposing destroyers down always feels bad.

Fushun used to be strong before the nerf. Her shell air drag has been nerfed from 0.286 to 0.37. So, Fushun guns are not exactly the soviet DD guns, they are significantly ballistic-nerfed. And that's why the guns are so bad. On the other hand, the T6 premium DD Anshan did not get the ballistic nerf because old premium ships can not be nerfed.

Hi, I just got the Fushun and the torpedo upgrade downgrades every stat besides the range. Is it worth?

Gotten to the tier 7 and not seeing an improvement... Although tier 7 DDs in general suck apart from the occasional premium so maybe there is light somewhere in the tunnel in the high tiers... Not holding my breath tho cause I think it's widely known by the more experienced players that this line has been powercrept to hell.

Gadjah Mada is actually a pretty solid ship. Good guns, and workable torps. The 8km feels bad, but it can be made to work. She definitely struggles when bottom tier, but most mid-tier DDs do because they lack access to Concealment Module and are forced to play against more radar.

Gadjah Mada is an amazing ship. The higher tier are worse than it.

I agree with you on the T8, but the T9 (Chung Mu) is pretty solid. It's still a Fletcher, so the starting point is excellent.

@@SeaRaptor I said worse than it, not bad. Gadjah Mada is the best of the line, Chung Mu is nice but worse than Gadjah Mada. Hsienyang is horrible, Yueyang is just okay.

@@dzello In fairness I haven't had many games in her yet, maybe I will learn to like her once I've warmed her up.
