Lol. My husband always said presents should be shiny or expensive, bonus points if they're both. I think i have that attitude towards fiber.

Guilty of not being a big sparkle fan. I don’t mind a little so that blend would be just right. The crepe yarn looks amazing.😊

Nothing wrong with just a little sparkle. And sometimes a lot is good too but it's always a matter of personal taste and there's nothing wrong with that.

If the twist on plying is balanced you dont need to rest singles. I’m in a spinning group of 125 and most of us do not rest singles we just adjust the ply twist and the finished yarn comes out with minimal twist to the skin and that adjusts itself on soaking.

I like to overtwist a little when I'm plying and I've found if I don't rest my singles it does make the twist crazier but I like the end result better.

The crepe yarn is cool, Ineed to try this! Thank you for the tip about Thread Art!!! I am looking for an afordable pearl cotton thread for weaving fine and shiny cloth. DMC has so much pretty colours, but they are expensive when looking for yardage (I tried!). Others are not really shiny enough. I will look into this one!

I bought it years ago so I don't know how their prices are now but the thread is good quality. And I love the crepe yarn. Definitely going to do that again.

Just take a small amount of fiber and some thread and try it! Don't be afraid. It's fun to make.

Looks at Fiber says running out of creativity and like a master creates anywho , a thing of beauty. Just one of 20 in (I suspect less) than 20 days. Noticed towel over shoulder and thought she’s been at the dye pot again ..

Rofl. You're on to me. I did pre film everything so I could get them posted day by day. I filmed this while one of the dye batches was cooling. No time to waste!
