What spoilt it for me was that journalist played by Helen Hunt. In the US at that time, blacks were still being lynched, the Native Americans were being persecuted, many people supported Hitler and the south practiced segregation. Then the character has the never to say "don't do what's British, do what's right"? What a joke. I fast forwarded whenever i saw any US character on after that. If it was a US instead of a British production, it would be the other way round and unfairly so - squeaky clean Yanks and a nasty, racist reporter. This is definitely nothing special.

Too simplistic, thinly written characters, cliched story line, riddled with modern tropes while trying to be realistic and historical. Production values definitely sub-par, the cinematography feels very cheap in particular. Another show that is an affront to the memories of the destroyed lives because it feels like trying to cash in on WWII porn more than anything.

I hard to watch your woman with the plastic face, especially when they had no cosmetic surgery (thank god in them days). Hard to watch plastic faces at any time , just don’t know what they think ing slash feeling 😢
