go place, by hand, all the blocks in a 100x100x100 cube and you'll understand why hand-building solid mountains varies from impractical to impossible depending on size. even just the outer "shell" of a hollow mountain would be a monstrous task hint: if you place 4 blocks a second, it will take you 69 hours to finish that cube

There is an option where you can merge an existing world with your creation on worldpainter. There you can select which tiles (Chunks) get merged to the new world. But I dont think its going to be more precise than in chunks

This reminds me of the time where I used to waste my time away making custom maps on Starcraft I's world editor as a kid. All those manual inputs on implementing the map commands.... >_> Compared to that, this seems to be a lot easier. Rather similar to Photoshop in that regards. Regardless this is a cool video! I imagined it to be harder to make a custom map for yourself.

I had just recently got world painter. Im actually pretty new to the program and its my first time using it. For my channel I just recently hit 130 subs I was planning on making a city project in Minecraft because of that. But I gotta figure out the island size by the buildings as well as the landscapes on each of the lands. Hopefully I can get used to world painter and I hope my island turns out successful! I cant wait for it!

A tip for anyone who is still watching this: Instead of putting stone from a certain height inwards, you can make custom materials (in the terrain/materials tab the + icon) containing multiple materials like gravel, dirt, stone etc. to give your stone a bit ,ore variety. Also, I think using the "above ~ degrees" option instead of the above height option to look better when giving mountains stone textures

Yes, it can. Alternatively you can also set the game to generate either the rest of the world using the seed's generation, water, lava, or the void (nothingness)

Is the terain outside the map we draw in the world painter automatically generated ? Like, it would be weird if there was only a one small island in the whole world.
@monman337 жыл бұрын
Beyond the boundaries of the map, its just void. You can change it so Minecraft auto generates the rest of the terrain, but it doesnt blend well and generally looks horrible
@avaliantsoul54087 жыл бұрын
it depends on the settings you choose. it will default to normal generation though
@osotanuki33597 жыл бұрын
Karol-sensei / カロル先生 it’s a normal generated world, mostly ocean, with the water level at normal
@ivain87047 жыл бұрын
It can actually be blended, but that requires going into minecraft, loading all chunks around the border reimporting it into Worldpainter (or using Wordledit or VS, but that takes longer still).
