All the old poker players sucked... they didn’t know how maths works and if you hear Vince and mike talking all game Gus confused them by making calls where he was getting about 2:1 or better every time. Losing to someone even all day doesn’t make that player better, Gus was ahead of his time and thinking about things these other clowns couldn’t even fathom.

He certainly wouldn’t flip his cards over before confirming that forward motion is binding and he probably didn’t want to cause a commotion and say something before the dealer/floor who are also watching the action.
