Hoping that it will be available to see here in Australia. On a slightly different angle are you aware of the ORFAN study from Oxford which came out recently in the Lancet. They have come up with "perivascular fat attenuation index" (FAI) which gives a much better risk correlation with MACE and cardiac death . Basically the status of the fat surrounding the coronary arteries is a much better indication of inflammation of the arteries and hence risk prediction of events. Using CCTA scan results from 40,000 patients it was found that the patients found to have NO obstructive CAD (by standard CCTA) made up 66% of the total MACE events and 64% of the cardiac deaths! It would be interesting to know the FAI score of your LMHR cohort. If their scores were found to be low it would fill in another parts of the puzzle. Are you considering using some of these AI analysis tools in your future research?
