Hi Tom, we are not moving away from the Kässbohrer history with the new K-Logo. In fact we are going back to the roots. Compare it to the K-Logos on the historic Setra S6 or S9. 😉

I stand by my view that the shortest version of the Setra 515 looks like the most balanced unbalanced bus in the whole world. It looks like it will topple because of the high floor part at the back, yet the wheelbase being almost equal along with almost identical overhang just makes it so balanced. You guys will get it when you see the shortest variant from the side profile. LOL

It’s a fun design. Takes a while to get used to it. Then it’s a very cool bus!

Very nice review of the new Setra, I quite like the design except the yellow pilar in the middle. I agree with the things that you pointed out as well and I personally feel like three point seatbelts would be better. Other than that it looks to a nice bus👍

The yellow pillar was said by Setra to make it stand out, something along the lines of "most other brands tend to hide the low entry and high floor part into one sleek look, so they instead made it stand out"
@the_vehicle_spotter Жыл бұрын
@@chuayx7572 as much as it is a good idea and it definitely stands out with that in mind. Personally speaking I still prefer the other way were the pillar would be black maybe. But it’s definitely a smart way of standing out with Low entry and High entry in mind

@@bussmagasinet1 the design, the layout, the equipment. The backseat seems surprisingly bad. The manual, seemingly heavy drivers window. The door mechanism. The seats and so on. Is this really the best Setra can do? Don't get me wrong, it might be a really good bus, but it's not modern.

Very interesting bus and a very nice looking bus. Now my question would it be a good bus for the districts in norway like for example Sauda Suldal and Vindafjor. I'm a apprentice bus driver for Tide in Sauda and I would love to see that here. How would it act in longer routes and in small roads and alot of up and down

Neat bus, though I'm still surprised they didnt launch an electric version alongside this. I mean its 2023, it'd be business suicide to not launch an electric version, especially now that the market is mature for electric intercity buses on the routes that models like these ones are designed to serve. Also in regards to Toms comment about electric wheelchair ramps, I can tell why we're now getting them on new buses in Denmark. Here in Denmark, across basically all agencies, the drivers are not allowed to leave the drivers seat at any point in time mid service, at all. The top brass' excuse is that while the driver is distracted, someone could hijack the bus and use it in terrorism, to plow into pedestrians and what not. But all together this means that wheelchair users, and other handicapped individuals who are dependent on the ramp, are completely excluded from taking the buses unless they have a personal assistent with them at all times! This has meant that Copenhagen has become the worst capital city in all of Europe for public transit accessibility. The bus agency here, Movia, claimed they did not authorise electric ramps due to "Conflicting with cyclists" but after the accessibility problem became a media scandal across TV, they finally budged and began allowing operators to get buses with electric ramps so that handicapped individuals can finally be able to take the bus on their own.

Horrible to hear the ramp situation in Denmark. I had no idea. The fixing of the ramp is distracting the driver? Well! Hahaha! Then he should not need any car or pedestrians on the road. That’s distracting… Haha! What a strange thinking of the company
